So what exactly is this?

This is a babydoll and thong set! It features the same exact design as this cami and bustier, and you can even find the same bow design on a number of other items from Coquette.

That's neat that you can find the pattern on so many things. What did the packaging look like?

Mostly just a plastic bag and some tags, and a really sweet hanger. There's a spot to hang something with straps, and a pant hanger type deal, so this is the perfect hanger for matching sets.

Ooh, fancy hanger? Awesome! What about the materials and care for this?

Well there's a tag on the inside that gives you all of that information, plus sizing. This set is listed as 82% Nylon and 18% Spandex, and should be hand washed and hung to dry. I'd feel ok running it through the washing machine, but do so at your own risk.

Fair enough. Now tell me about the sizing.

This comes in small, medium, or large. I got it in a small, which to Coquette's new chart means that I should be between a size 4-6, with a 34-36" bust, 26-28" waist, 36-38" hips, and weigh between 100-120. I'm about 5'2, I weigh about 120, around my bust measures 32" and underneath measures about 28 1/2". I've got about a 29" waist and measure about 34" around the top of my hips and 38" around my butt and wear a good solid B cup. The top fit me perfectly. The thong, not as much.

The most important measurement is going to be your bust. The maximum under bust circumference that will be comfortable is about 35" or so. At that point it might also be a bit hard to get in and out of, so ordering a size up might be a better idea.

Ok. What's in the set, tell me about that.

In this set you get the babydoll and the thong. The babydoll also features removable straps that are the same velvety type feel as the bows all over the top. They're adjustable, but fall out easily when the top isn't being worn. There are no designated cups, but more of a bust coverage area. This section can probably fit up to a small D cup, but if you need a lot of support you'll definitely want to wear a bra with it. The bust section is about 5" tall and 15" wide, but does have some stretch to it. Under that is a black band about 2 1/2" tall. If you follow that around the back, once you reach the side where the print stops on the bust area, from here up on the back is the same black stretchy lycra. On this section you'll find the removable bow. You can either remove it entirely, or place it anywhere here to give it some extra pizazz. From there down is about 12" long and flows out a lot. If you wear it outside on a breezy day it'll act a lot like Marilyn Monroe's famous dress. While the bust area is solid and features some slight padding on the inside (enough to keep a hard nipple from showing, but not enough to be a pushup really), the flowy party is slightly see through and sheer. It's easier to see through it in the light, and it breathes nicely.

The thong is simple and black, and doesn't offer a lot of give. I measure it at about 12" across when laid flat and stretching up to about 17". It measures about 3 1/2" across in the front and just over 1/2" in the back, and doesn't have a crotch liner. It was tight on me, and dug in a bit.

How's the craftsmanship?

Aside from the thong that runs very small? Great. There were no loose threads that I spotted or anything like that, everything's finished off like it should be. If you don't purposefully try to ruin it, it'll last you a long time.

I think the only thing I didn't like was that it caused a bit of irritation under my armpits, but other than that I just love this babydoll! I hate the thong, but to be honest with most of these I just try them on for the review and pretty much end up never wearing them again.

The top is fantastic both in and out of the bedroom, and looks great with jeans. The only things I can really complain about are mostly minimal, like the straps not staying in while not being worn and the minor irritation. I love everything else about the top. I even like the little bow, and I normally take those off and end up losing them as soon as I get a new piece.
