Prep school girl - sexy costume by Coquette - review by XxFallenAngelxX

I was a bit skeptical when I received the prep school outfit, I wasn't sure about the sizing since I wear a L/XL usually. My fiance ordered the 1X/2X size for me since it didn't come in XL. I am including a lot of pictures with this review because I know how helpful photos can be. I can't count the times that I have read a review and there were no photos, and I ended up passing on the product. I like to see as well as hear about a product. I love products by Coquette, and if you are unsure of their sizing, please check out the coquette sizing chart.

The set includes 5 pieces and the first piece that I will talk about is the dress/skirt/bustier part.



It is sewn into 1 piece which is very convenient and the less pieces the better, right? The dress has 8 pearl look snap buttons on the front which are sewn on nicely and hold up well, the sizing is about 1/2 of an inch, and they are spaced out at 1.5 inches above one another. The dress is strapless and it is not sheer, even when stretched.





The dress is 80% Nylon and 20% spandex. It does have nice stretch across it. The dress length is 28 inches long. It measures 21 inches wide at its widest point, and it can stretch to 25 inches. The skirt portion of the dress is a light pink and dark pink mix of a argyle design. The material on the white part of the dress is totally different from the skirt part. They are both soft and comfortable; they do not itch or irritate.

The second piece of the set is the metal pin that is shown in the photo with the model on the skirt of the dress. You can attach it to the skirt or any place that you want. It is included with this outfit. It measures 3 inches in length and is lightweight.





The 4th piece is the cardigan/ jacket. The main body of the cardigan is a soft, cotton fabric. The collar is made of the same material as the white part of the dress.







The tie on the cardigan measures 5 inches long and it is sewn onto the cardigan and the closure is velcro. The velcro is square in shape and is 1 and 1/4 inches.



The velcro is sewn on and is sewn very well. It also has a patch sewn onto it. I have included the photo below.





The length of the cardigan is 14 inches from the collar to the bottom. It's sleeves measure 17.5 inches from the top of the seam to the cuff of the sleeve. The collar measures 21 inches long from the velcro fasteners.

The 4th piece is the bikini top which is a bright white and it has a hot pink bow in the center. The cups slide back and forth for that perfect fit. I will warn you that if you are DDD/F or larger, these may be too small. Each cup measures 7x7 inches and are adjustable. Each tie is a little over 30 inches in length. The total length of the bikini top is 58 inches from the beginning to the end of the string. This has the same material as the white part of the dress. The bikini top is to be tied at the sides of the breasts. It does not go over the shoulder.





The 5th piece of the set is the Crotchless panty. It is the same material as the bikini top. The back has the same bow as the bikini top. There is no cotton lining included in the panty. The panty measures at 20 inches wide. These look and seem big to me, and these seem to run like a 1x/2x size. The crotch opening is 4.5 inches long. From the top of the front to the top of the back, it measures at 17.5 inches. There is an opening in the back of the panty below the bow. The cutout meausures almost 3.5 inches

I knew from looking at the outfit that it was going to be very large on me. I tried it on and took a photo. As big as my breasts are, this outfit still fell down on me. I had to hold it up.













This of course is my fault because most 1x/2x do not fit me because of my breast size. This outfit was just too adorable to toss aside, so me being a seamstress, I took out my sewing machine and took in some inches from each side and made a few stitches up around the top so it would fit snugly. There was just no way that this would have fit me if I had not sewn it. My breast size is 38 DDD/F. My waist is about 37.5 now. Once I had the parts sewn and snug, I tried it on once again. It fit perfect! If you have under DDD/F and have a waist of 37.5 of below, this WILL be big on you and will fall down. You may get away with the M/L size. The outfit is comfortable now, and I wore it around for about 15 minutes just to see if it bothered me. I had no problems whatsoever. A nice touch that I added in was some white fish nets. These look great with the outfit. The dress hit right at my knees.





I threw my hair up in two pig tails and walked into my fiance's man cave, and he was instantly turned on. He wanted me to keep this outfit on and come to bed. Bottom line is that your husband, boyfriend, girlfriend, partner, or fiance will totally love this outfit. It is really eye catching.





The bikini top was too small for me, but I knew that was coming. My body shape is plus size for the breasts, but regular size for the rest of my body. As for the crotchless panty, it was tooo big. Once again, I knew this was coming. I am thinking about cutting the strings to the panty to fit me and then sewing them up and attaching bows to the ends. I usually wear a size 7/8 in panty. These seem to be a size 9/10. If your hips are above 41 inches, and you have a bigger bottom these may be a perfect fit. All in all, I give this outfit 5 stars, just because it is cute, flirty, comfortable, and easy to care for.

The tag states to hand wash only and hang to dry. I hand washed it in my woolite and it worked great. I hung it on a plastic hanger on my shower curtain rod so it could drip dry.

This is one of the sexiest costumes that I have received by Coquette. I tried on a few of my new costumes tonight and my fiance liked this one best. He mentioned that he would like to see me in this more.
