Red lace underwire bra set - bra and panty set discontinued by Coquette - review by deltalima

Despite a lot of comments on the detachable bear in this bra and panty set, I decided to get it because it looked sexy. I ordered this red bra and panty set from Coquette in small. According to the sizing chart for Coquette, Small is appropriate for B cups with a 34 - 36 inch bust, 26 - 28 inch waist, 36 - 38 inch hip measurements and overall size 4 - 6.

This set arrived in a cardboard box that has a picture of the model on the front and details on the set on the back. When you open the box, you find the set neatly packaged in a plastic bag.

The bra features a hook and eye closure at the back as well as adjustable bra straps. It already has the bear and bow attached to the center. At first, it was a bit hard finding the clasp to detach it but then when I wore the bra, I was able to find the clasp and take it off. I don't wear the bra with the bear on. I keep the bear for blazers or my keychain. The panty is more stretchy than the bra and has ruffles.

As soon as I tried the bra on, I noticed a huge problem with the design. The bra straps are attached too much to the side of the bra, rather than towards the front. This makes it awkward to wear, especially for someone who doesn't have fuller breasts like the model. The placement of the straps makes your breasts sit more to the side of your chest. It looks weird, having a 4 inch gap between my breasts. Since my boobs don't fill out the cups, the excess lace of the cups folds over causing my boobs to have zero support. Even with underwires, I don't feel comfortable.

The panty is the only winning part of this set. It is stretchy but it still fits snugly. I'm 115 pounds and usually wear a size 5 and this fits me nicely. The back of the panty has stitching down the middle so it creates a bit of ruching that goes along with the ruffles.

I expected the material to be scratchy and hard but it is actually soft and stretchable. This set is made from polyester. It is always recommended to keep polyester away from heat as it can burn. I would advise hand washing the bra and panty in cool water and hand drying, as with most delicate lingerie pieces. I wear and wash the panty often and haven't had any tears in the material.

Unless this bra is made with sturdier support on the cups or bra straps that are placed closer to the front of the breasts, I would not buy this set again. Even in the smallest size, it could not support my boobs. I believe people with busty chests would benefit the most from this, especially if they order a size down because this is really stretchy.

The elastic in the panty started to come out. I don't even know where the bra is. I definitely would not purchase this again if I had to go back.
