Fishnet tank top dress - gown by Coquette - review by js250

The Fishnet Tank Dress arrived on a plastic black hanger, inside a clear plastic bag. The resemblance to an actual tank top was very obvious and made me too happy. I could actually wear this as I intended. The material is a nice, even, thick fishnet weave. It does not snag as easy as a lot of the thinner weaves do, however it also is not as soft. Yet one more reason for me to wear this as intended!!

How do I plan to wear this dress? As soon as I saw the cut, I knew I had to have it for layering over my low cut tank tops. I do not like a lot of cleavage in public, but with the heat of summer I also do not want to wear t-shirts. This dress worked out perfect for a discreet tank top cover up. I have also worn it over a corset and leggings on an evening out--it was too beautiful, and I got so many compliments! My husband asked me to wear it for him some night, so I grabbed the Midnight Fire Lattice Corset and surprised him with my outfit. Lets just say that was a hit as well.

The cut is very flattering to your figure, even though it is a see through material. The dress skims over my curves and hides my tummy and love handles perfectly. I am not sure how a see through fishnet item can do that, but I sure am not going to complain!! The roughness of the material is not enough to irritate and chafe your skin, but it will be a bit uncomfortable if you get overheated and there is some moisture. It does allow for a slight breeze to cool your skin and for me, that is yet one more reason to love this dress!!

The material is 100% Nylon, so you need to hand wash in cool water and let it line dry. Do not throw this in a dryer, it might come back out as a small and ugly little ball. Please do not ask how I know!! You may fold, hang up or roll this outfit up for storage. It travels nicely, since it does not take up hardly any room in your suitcase.

The dress is a OSFM and fits me very well. The skirt comes down to mid-thigh, but I am also short at 5' 2". The neck and arm openings are very well finished and so is the bottom hem. This adds a lot of quality to a simple net dress. It also allows it to lay correctly and not roll up like many others do. I usually have some minor issues with the fit of the Coquette brand of lingerie, but this dress did not follow their pattern of running a bit small. It would also fit a few sizes up from my size 9/10 body.

I absolutely love my new tank top coverup!! This is a perfect accessory for public wear. It looks a bit edgy, sexy and really cute at the same time. I have had a lot of compliments on my layers when I have worn this to town.

For the bedroom you can dress it up or down for that just right look you want that evening. My husband loves me in this and I am pretty sure I am going to end up getting a second one of these due to how much use this one is getting.

I have washed it many times, sorry but I lost track, and the material is still stretchy, has no holes or snags and looks almost new. I do have to say, though, that I have started hanging it in the shade so the sun does not fade the black coloring.
