Pretty Panty

The Lace and Lycra Panty by Coquette is so pretty! It fits me really well and is comfortable when worn. The only issue I really had with the panty is that the width at the top front didn't really fully cover the area. Though this may not be an issue for you. It still looks good but I would have liked there to be a bit more width at the top of the panty.

extremely useful review
The Lace and Lycra Panty by Coquette is available in one-size-fits-most and XL. I purchased the size XL. The panty arrived on a plastic hanger and was surrounded by a plastic bag. The only text to the bag was on the small barcode sticker. There was a tag attached to the panty stating the company name, company website, product name, size, and colour. The tag also had a few photos of a model wearing the panty. I keep my panty in my underwear drawer.

The panty is 80% nylon and 20% spandex (exclusive of trim). The waistband does have some stretch to it as well as the material at the back of the panty. The front of the panty is not sheer. I’ve taken a few measurements of the panty laying flat, unstreched. If you need additional measurements, let me know and I can get them for you.

Waistband unstretched: 17 ¼ inches
Waistband stretched as much as I could: 26 inches
Width of widest part of material that covers your front area: 5 inches
Width of widest part of material that covers your back area: 20 inches

The front of the panty is blue with a black floral lace material on top of the blue. There is a black lace trim to the top front of the panty. ½ an inch of this trim sits off the top of the panty. Through the centre of the trim, there is a thin blue ribbon. At each end of this ribbon there are two small blue bows. The bows are not detachable but if you have a seam ripper, you could easily remove them if you don’t like them. There is no liner in the crotch of this panty.

I really liked the lace back to this panty in the stock photo. When I was comparing the panty I received to the panty in the stock photo, I noticed there was a slight difference to the pattern on the lace at the back. The panty I received has floral print all over it while the panty in the stock photo seems to have flowers only along the bottom of the lace and swirls above this. It’s hard to really tell though because of how the model is standing in the stock photo.

The panty is OS/XL. There is a slight difference between the OS/XL and the XL on Coquette’s size chart. The OS/XL is best suited for those between the weight bracket of 170-200lbs, and has a hip measurement between 42-50 inches. I’m slightly below the weight bracket and my hip measurement is 41 inches. While I’m 1 inch below the suggested hip measurement, I prefer going with the larger size because too often the OSFM gives me muffin top.

When I tried the panty on, I was extremely happy with the way the back of the panty looked on me. It covered half of my bum cheeks, leaving the rest poking out of the bottom. I like to have a bit of bum coverage so this was nice. I was so happy with the back of the panty that I ran out and showed my partner. He loves them as well.

The front of the panty didn’t fit as nicely on me, but it still looked decent. The issue I had with the front was that the top of the panty wasn’t wide enough to cover my front fully. I would have liked this area to be a bit wider.

I found the panty to be very comfortable while wearing it. The lace back and the trim along the top front of the panty are non-irritating. I would be comfortable enough to wear these as an every day style panty. The care tag states that the panty should be hand washed and hung to dry.

Overall, I’m very happy with the underwear. If the Victorian Dreams Corset by Coquette were available in size XL, I’d purchase that too so I could wear the matching panty with it. I’ve deducted only one star from the rating for the lack of width at the front of the panty (this may not be an issue for you) and the fact that there is no liner in the crotch.
