Sheer thigh high stockings with lace top - hosiery by Coquette - review by ~LaUr3n~

I love Coquette lingerie but don't have that much experience with Coquette stockings. So far, on average, their stocking quality isn't as high as their regular lingerie. These stockings are really cute, but the quality of nylon isn't as high as a pair that it half the price from Leg Avenue. It's possible that these nylons are supposed to have a vintage feel, and therefore have flaws on purpose, but I'm not positive on that. I am glad I got these in the 2 for 1 sale because I think that price makes more sense. I wouldn't pay full price for these if I wanted to replace them.

*Overview:

This pair of thigh high stockings are from Coquette. They are solid nylons with a lace top. The feet are not reinforced. The top is a lace band of red color contrasting the black nylon.

*Material: A bit ratty feeling, Not the smoothest or flawless nylon

Oddly enough there isn't any material information on the packaging and there isn't a tag either. Weird right? I believe they are 100% nylon. The lace portion at the top has a bit of elastic in it. The nylon isn't as silky as most nylon I'm used to. The lace is very durable and stretchy too. It's very textured and doesn't seem like it will get damaged easily. The nylon on the other hand can run easily.

*Design/craftsmanship: Two tone

The top of the stockings has a large lace band. It reminds me of a garter since toward the bottom there is an elastic band that causes a ruffles to stick out and not lay flat against the nylon portion. Unstretched the top is 8" across. The lace portion is about 3 1/2" tall. The top edge has a very fine scalloping and the lace has a flower pattern not totally typical of most lace patterns on stockings. There is a seam on one side of the lace band. This can be worn in the back of thigh. There is also a thick seam connecting the lace to the rest of the leg. From top to bottom the stocking is about 25 1/2" unstretched. There is no shape to the leg or foot of the stocking. The toe is no reinforced and has a seam.

*Cleaning/care/storage: Hand wash, box

The stockings come folded on a cardstock. This is slide into a cardboard bi fold and then slid into a resealable plastic bag. Hand wash them in cool water. Lay flat to dry. Don't iron.

*Sizing/Application: Decent OS, not as forgiving due to elastic band

These come in an OS. According to the size chart that will fit sizes 4-14. The high end will have to wear these lower on the thigh. I'm wearing them at about half wear my thigh is about 19 1/2". I can wear them higher up where my thigh is about 23" but the elastic band doesn't keep things smooth there. These can stretch up to about 25", but them will dig in a bit. The elastic band is tight, but not uncomfortable. The band does slide a bit over time, but nothing too horrible. These can be worn without garters.

I'm unimpressed with the quality of the nylons, but I do like the fit for the most part. I could do without the elastic band being as tight as it is, but it keeps these up and I don't have to wear garters.

Theses stockings have held up pretty well for the couple times I have worn them. I got a few small nicks near the band and that's it.
