Sexy pinstripe chemise set - chemise and panty set by DreamGirl - review by Jul!a

Pinstripes are one of my absolute favorite designs on just about anything. I've got tank tops, suits, fedoras, and I know there's a pair of pinstriped hitops out there somewhere, I just haven't been able to find them to make them mine yet, lol. But all that being said, my ever growing lingerie collection was missing some stripes, and this number made an absolutely fantastic addition.

The packaging was one I hadn't received before. Inside of a lovely pink tissue paper were the chemise and the panties, both inside a protective plastic bag with the resealable end. I tossed these once I opened it.

I laid the top flat for measurements, and I'll put those in a list format to try and avoid confusion:

- Back of dress from strap to hem: 18"
- Length of slit in back: About 10 1/4" from the bottom hem
- Front of dress from bow in between the cups to bottom hem: about 19 1/2"
- Width of dress just above slit in back: flat is about 11" across and stretches up to about 16"
- Along the underwire in the cups: flat is 11" across and stretches up to about 14"
- From strap to strap on the top of the cups: lays flat about 12" and stretches up to about 14" across
- The cup: Across from the top end of the underwire measures about 5". The cup also measures about 5" down as well.
- The straps are both adjustable like regular bra straps. The shortest range measures about 10" and the longest measures about 20"

I received a size small from DreamGirl, which means that I should have the following measurements: A-B cup, 32-34" bust, 24-26" waist, 34-36" hips, and I should weigh 90-120 pounds. Personally I'm about 5'2, I weigh about 105, around my bust measures about 31" and underneath measures about 28 1/2". I've got about a 25" waist with 33" hips and I wear a B cup. Everything fit really well and nothing was too tight.

For the other sizes available, DreamGirl has the following measurements listed:
Medium: size 6-10, B-C cup, 34-36" bust, 26-28" waist, 36-38" hips, 120-140 pounds
Large: size 10-14, C-D cup, 36-38" bust, 28-32" waist, 38-40" hips, 140-150 pounds
1X/2X: size 16-18, D-DD cup, 40-48" bust, 36-40" waist, 42-48" hips, 165-225 pounds

Seeing as how there is a 10" slit in the back, if your hips fall outside of one measurement but everything else fits in, I would feel comfortable ordering that size.

The design of the chemise dress is really cute; you just can't go wrong with pinstripes. I liked that DreamGirl took the time to make sure that the stripes on the cups lined up with the rest of the stripes as well. The top and bottom of the chemise are both lined with a baby pink lace, and a second row of pink lace is found about 2" down on each cup. Where the cups meet on top, there's a little bow in the same shade of pink and just under 2" beneath that is a black button bead with a little crystal just sewn on for decoration.

The panties measure 13" across when laid flat, but I got them to stretch all the way up to 21" across. I don't think that would be very comfortable though. I saw another reviewer wear these panties the opposite way that I did. I just assumed the section with the tag was the back, and that's how I wore them, but you can wear them either way, as DreamGirl was nice enough to not make this a G-string. The front section measures about 4" across and 8" down to the seam in the crotch. The back measures about 6 1/2" across the top and just over 7 1/2" down to the seam. The crotch seam measures just about 2" across. The back also features the same lovely pink lace that the top does, 3 rows about an inch apart.

In case you decide to wear these separately, there is a materials list and how to wash tag located on each garment. According to DreamGirl this set is 90% Polyester and 10% Spandex, which means you should hand wash in cold water and line dry.

I tugged and pulled on everything too and I see where others might have thought that seam in the back might come undone, but I don't see anything going wrong unless you're really trying to rip it. The whole set is soft and silky and really well made.

As for storage you can keep the panties in with your regular underthings, and you could do the same for the chemise, or hang it in the closet as it could be worn out as an actual shirt.

This set wowed me when I first put it on. It was cute, it was sexy, it wasn't sleazy, and best of all, my deodorant didn't leave any marks on it! Then I put on the panties, and was less than thrilled. Honestly, I might have preferred a g-string, just because I knew that would just wedge itself on into my crack and stay there all night, but instead I just kept pulling out a major wedgie all night. The design was cute, but I think they should have gone either wider or narrower with the back end of these panties. And did I mention that the panties have a crotch liner? Because they do, and it impressed me because I've seen a lot of lingerie underwear skimping on that vital little piece of cloth.

My only complaint with the top is that while I felt my breasts were adequately supported by the underwire, I felt that the cups could have used a bit of padding or something, because yes, they're held up, but they've got no va-va-voom if that makes any sense to anybody, lol. So, if I can find a way to give my boobs some more lift while wearing this top, I'll definitely be wearing it out and about this summer.

My fiance loved the whole thing, and he figured out pretty quickly that I kept picking at this underwear and he just spent the whole night chuckling to himself, lol. I even managed to wear the whole ensemble underneath clothing! I tucked the top into my pants and just wore a long t-shirt over everything.

If the panties could have made up their mind, this set would get 5 stars, but because they went everywhere they wanted to, 4 stars.

I ditched the panties because I just could not get them to sit comfortably for me no matter what I did. I've worn the top a few times as a shirt, but for shorter periods of time since I wanted to wear a padded bra to compensate for the lack of fullness from my own boobs, and the underwire vs underwire got a little awkward. I've handwashed it a few times and let it air dry with no problems whatsoever. I'd still recommend it to anybody who's interested.
