Sheer halter mini dress - chemise discontinued by DreamGirl - review by dlw

I was so excited to receive this dress because it was such a good price. When it arrived, I immediately pulled it out of the box to notice that the packaging looked like it was some sort of a Halloween costume accessory.

This item is a sheer halter dress with lace trim, attached garters, and sheer thigh-high stockings. The thong in the model photo is not included. All of the pieces are attached, meaning it is one piece. The dress itself attaches at the neck with three snaps and was a little tight. My boyfriend liked the look of the dress, but said the rest of it looked somewhat awkward. It is a one-size-fits-most item, and it did not seem to fit ME correctly. I am 5'8", and the stockings were baggy on my feet. When I pulled the stockings up to the correct position on my legs, it caused the attached lace garters to be loose and I did not look or feel sexy at all. I felt like a clown.

The set is 100% nylon and seems likely to snag easily. As I pulled it on, it got caught on a hang nail I had (please excuse the lack of a manicure). It was also awkward the first time I tried this on to figure out how to get the dress on and then put my legs in the connecting garter and stockings. I did try it on another day to see if my feelings changed about the look, and it was easier to put on once I knew the best way. (By the way, I did not change my mind about liking it.)

The instructions say to hand wash it separately in cold water and line dry. I normally wash my nylons on the permanent press cycle, and they turn out fine and keep their shape; so, I imagine this would do the same.

I did not feel comfortable in this dress, nor would I recommend this product to a friend. Spend a little more money and get a better quality and fitting item.

I tried it on one more time thinking that I might have just been having a bad day when I first wrote the review, and my opinion is the same. I still do not like this product. It's too bad because the price is really low, and it looks fantastic on the model.
