Snake bustier Set (Large) Review

This gorgeous snakeskin bustier might not have it all, but it's pretty good! The hose are throwaways, and the boning is fairly useless -- but if you can get past that? This bustier is comfortable, elegant, and oh so sexy!

extremely useful review
The Snake Bustier Set is a difficult one for me, as I've got mixed feelings about it. On the one hand, it does look extremely sexy. On the other, the boning is a useless, unflattering annoyance (at best). It's nice enough that I'll still keep it in my collection, primarily because of how much my boyfriend loves it... but it's not a piece I'll pull out often.

The Basics:
The Snake Bustier Set is brought to us by Escante. This three piece set includes the "snakeskin" bustier, matching g-string, and a pair of black thigh highs. The bustier features non-removable garter straps, removable shoulder straps, plastic boning, and shaped bra cups.

Material & Care:
The front of the bustier is is made out of 95% Nylon and 5% Elastane, whereas the back is made out of 87% Nylon and 13% Elastane.

The front of the bustier has a snakeskin pattern. The snakeskin material is very shiny, and it really seems to shimmer when the light hits it in the right way. That being said, I was happy to find that the snakeskin material doesn't look trashy; the pattern is obvious, but it's still somewhat subdued. I feel classy in this piece.

The back of the bustier consists of just solid black. The black material does have a shine to it, though slightly less so than the snakeskin material.

The entire bustier is very stretchy, and comfortable against my skin.

The matching g-string is made out 95% Nylon and 5% Elastane. The g-string features the same shimmery snakeskin pattern as the front of the bustier. The inside of the g-string has what appears to be a cotton pantyliner (though it does not state that the pantyliner is made out of cotton). The g-string is just as stretchy as the bustier is.

The included pair of hose is 100% Nylon. Honestly, the pantyhose are extremely thin, and they just feel cheap. These pantyhose are essentially throwaways; you might be able to wear them once, but they're going to tear, FAST! Along with feeling cheap, the pantyhose are also fairly itchy. Thankfully I didn't buy this set for the hose!

All of the pieces of this set should be hand washed in cold water. The pieces should be line dried.
Sizing:
Escante has made this set available in three sizes; small, medium, and large. I purchased the large.

According to the size chart, a large should fit the following measurements:
Cup Size: C-D
Bust: 36-38"
Waist: 32-34"
Hips: 34-36"

I wear a large C/small D cup, and have a 32 inch waist. My hips are about a 40". Looking at the size chart, this set will fit all but my hips. Well, I am happy to report that this set fits ALL of me just fine. I believe that this bustier could fit someone slightly larger than me in the hips and waist. As for the bust, anything larger than a large D is probably pushing it.

I took the following measurements with the items laying flat:
Bustier length, unstretched, from top center: 14"
Bottom of bustier (hip area), laying flat, unstretched: 15"
Bottom of bustier (hip area), laying flat, stretched: 20"
Top of bustier, across the bust, laying flat, unstretched: 14"
Across the center of the cups (one cup): 6.5"
Down the center of the cups (one cup): 5"
G-string, laying flat, across waistband, unstretched: 14.5"
G-string, laying flat, across waistband, stretched: 22"
Cotton pantyliner length: 3"
Experience
Design:
Okay, so lets talk about the bustier. The bustier is VERY sexy, and comfortable.

The bustier has no hooks, or ties. To put it on, you simply slip it over your head. I love not having to fuss with a bunch of hooks to get the look of a great bustier.

One of my favorite things about this item is the cups. The cups are very lightly lined, so they provide a bit of support without adding bulk. The cups also have underwire, which helps them to provide even more support. If you're busty like I am, that's a good thin! I love the fact that it's got shaped bra cups, as the cups help to ensure that the bustier doesn't flatten out my breasts (like some bustiers have done in the past).

I like that the adjustable shoulder straps are removable, and that they can be worn different ways. The straps can be worn as your standard over the shoulder straps, or you can arrange them so that they cross in the back. You can also make it so that one strap goes around your neck, halterneck style. Another option, of course, is to simply wear it without the straps. For me, wearing it without the straps took away some of the bust support, but not everyone will have this problem.

One complaint that I have about the bustier is that the garter straps are attached. The garter straps being attached makes it so that I can't really wear this piece in public, unless I decide to tuck in the garters. That being said, the garters are adjustable, so they should fit many different people properly. The garters can be adjusted anywhere from 5" to 8.5".

The garter clasps, for those wondering, are made out of metal. This means that they're very sturdy!

Another issue that I had with the bustier was the fact it has plastic boning! The boning is absolutely useless, and in some cases, unflattering. When I stood up with the boning in place, it looked gorgeous...but when I sat? Oh boy! When I sat, the boning in the front had the habit of bulging outward, making me look significantly bigger than I was. I ended up removing the boning in the front.

For those wondering about the pantyliner on the g-string? It's sewn on just one side, so you'll be able to insert a bullet if you choose to.

Quality:
Quality wise, this piece is okay. There were a few loose threads on the bustier, but they were easily snipped off with a pair of scissors. The sewing quality seems to be decent. My one complaint about the bustier is how flimsy the boning is! I genuinely feel like, why even bother with the boning?! It's just awful.

As for the hose? The quality of the hose is just terrible. They seem to have been included merely as an afterthought. Now, that being said, I doubt you're considering purchasing this set for the hose -- or at least I know I didn't!
Follow-up commentary
I was able to improve on this piece by taking the boning off, but it just doesn't really appeal to me. I don't feel sexy in this one at all, so I have only worn it once since I purchased it.
