Striped top and bikini set - bra and panty set discontinued by Leg Avenue - review by ~LaUr3n~

This is one of those cheap Leg Avenue pieces that I stayed away from for a long time, because I thought for sure it wouldn't work for me. After caving due to having Eden Points needing spending, I actually think this looks better on a fuller figure than the model. It looks less like a skimpy, but functional bikini and more like a really cute and fun set. You could probably even mix and match the pieces with other things. I recommend it for a lot of different sizes as long as you already know you feel comfortable in skimpy things. Of course, the bigger you are, the skimpier it will be.

The striped bikini set from Leg Avenue has four pieces:
*Halter bikini top
*String bikini thong
*Pair of matching stockings

The material is delicate, but of decent quality and the construction is good. The design and shape of the pieces is a bit odd, but I sort of expected that for the cheap price. It comes in a one size fits most.

*Material: Good but delicate

The material is made of 50% polyester and 50% nylon. It feels a lot like what most nylon stockings feel like, but it has a sweater like quality to it and feels slightly cottony. The material stretches a lot and has no problem returning to its original shape. Because the material is stocking like, it is delicate and can run like tights would if you don't care for them properly. The material feels soft but it also has somewhat of a textured feel. It's not smooth like satin.

The colors are cute too. There are hot pink and canary yellow strips. If you don't like bright colors, this is obviously not for you.

*Design/craftsmanship: Ok, a tad odd in shape

The shape of the pieces in this set are not as they appear in the picture of the model, at least the panties aren't. I'll discuss the top first though. The top is a strip bikini halter. The cups are a bit unique in that they are one long piece of triangle shaped fabric. The top tips of the triangle are what tie in a halter behind the neck. The base of the triangle cups is 5" across. The length is 23" which leaves plenty to be tied. The act of tying them behind the neck, makes the upper parts bunch together. The bottom of the cups have tie string that goes through them so they can be bunched up and made even skimpier. The string also ties behind the back. The material's thinness and the stretch makes it pretty hard to provide support but it can be done if your boobs are not too big for the top and you tie it behind your neck correctly. Keep in mind that the material is also slightly see through.

The bottoms are bikini style thong. The triangle portion isn't really a triangle. It's actually like a long rectangle. The top of it is barely 4" across making it a lot smaller than most thongs. The length of the the thong portion is good in my opinion. It isn't so short that it rides too low, and it isn't too long that it looks like it is from the 80's. The thong has a HUGE tag in the back that actually peaks out because it is so big. I suggest cutting it off after reading it. The thong ties on the side with thin ties. They do not have a pantie liner.

The stockings are a bit off. They are not quite long enough for me. I'm 5'6". They hit a strange part on my thigh. they are not long enough to go where I want them high on my thigh and too long to be pulled down slightly to another good level right above the knee. They are constructed well though. The toes are closed but not reinforced. The top band is thick and holds up the stockings well.


*Cleaning/care/storage: Hand wash/cardboard box

The tag says to hand wash in warm water and to drip dry. Also make sure you don't have any hang nails because the material can get snags very easily. I already managed to get a run in the panties somehow. The outfit comes in a slim cardboard box that can be reused for storage. It has pictures of a model wearing the outfit on it.

*Sizing: Good, stockings run small

Leg Avenue usually runs small, especially for their one size fits most pieces. I was surprised at how well this fit me and how flattering it was to boot. It will fit sizes S-XL just fine. Larger than that probably won't work to well, especially with the stockings.

I weigh ~142 pounds, size 7/8); curvy but fit. The one size fits most says it fits a 6-11 dress size, A-C cup, 32-38" bust, 23-29" waist, and 34-40" hip. The top fit well, the panties were good, and the stockings were a bit small, but I made them work.

The top fits my 34/36 D chest really well. I was surprised that I was even able to produce some breast support by tying the halter top tightly. It is really comfortable around the neck and the back tie works fine too. I love that I can bunch at the bottom and make the cups more like strips. They push against my breasts right in the center and make them look perfectly round and perky. I thought that my nipples and areolas would be easily visible through the fabric, but they could only slightly be seen in harsh bright lighting-like in my bathroom. I'd say that C and D breasts will look best in this top and be complimented by it. B will likely be okay, might make you look smaller, and A cups won't be given any help.

The bottoms were a bit odd because of the small rectangular shape. The back was a bit too wide and bunched at the top right above my cheeks. This wasn't an issue though. They were easy to tie and there was plenty of room left to tie them on a larger frame. My hips are about 38" and it didn't dig into me at all.

The stockings are an odd length. I don't like wearing them where they fall when pulled up properly. The band is small and digs into my 23" thighs. They fit great everywhere else though. I opted to fold the top down and then back up so they ended right below or right above my knee. This look was still really cute. They look like long socks this way.

I LOVE this set. The price is friggin amazing too. I just wish it was made of a more durable material and that the stockings were a bit bigger or a bit longer. These things aside, I made this set work for me and I feel really sexy in it. My boyfriend loved being able to simply move the top cups aside to get at my girls. It was comfortable to wear, easy to put on, and not tough to clean.

I have managed to keep this set intact over the last two months. The run in the pantie has not gotten larger, but I did put clear nail polish on it to reinforce the area. This set should not be missed given the price.
