Ruffle babydoll and g-string - babydoll and panties set by Coquette - review by ~LaUr3n~

OVERVIEW:

I've loved the striped chemise my boyfriend got me. Unfortunately, it's been too big for a while so I don't wear it often. I was really excited to see the same cute color pattern and stripes in a new design.

CONTENTS: Two pieces

This is a two piece set from Coquette. The main piece is the tube baydoll, and it comes with a matching g-string. It comes in one color combo of pink and white. It only comes in a one size fits most on Eden.

MATERIALS: Stretchy, but the construction makes it scratchy.



The dress is made of 82% nylon and 18% spandex. The material is stretchy and breathable. It's extremely soft and not at all irritating to the skin anywhere. The mesh does not feel cheap, which also ties into being soft and not scratchy. It's flexible and flowy, perfect for this design. It's see through and will show things like tattoos and nipples if they are dark enough.

DESIGN/CONSTRUCTION:

The top is tube babydoll style. The very top is about 12" across, but it stretches quite a bit to about 17". In my experience shirts that measure that across after being stretched are usually about a medium. On the sides there are small loops for hanging. I think I'll cut them off since they tend to eventually stick out. The top band on the dress is 6 1/2" wide. It has a layered look with ruffles and stripes. From this is a an apron shaped piece that over laps slightly in the front and off center. From top to bottom it is 21 1/2" at the longest portion. The edges are finished.

The thong is pretty nice since it ACTUALLY matches the top, and isn't just a matching colored thong. It's got the striped and ruffled front. It's a g-string with strapped sides. The back does slide, but can be easily sewn to be secure with just a few stitches. The front is 5" across the top which is actually a little larger than I'm used to from Coquette. There is a very small and not at all problematic tag in the front.

Care/Maintenance/Presentation:

The tag says to hand wash only in cold water and then hang to dry. If you put this kind of material in a dryer under too much heat the spandex strings came start to break and show. It's easy to wash by hand and doesn't take long to dry either.

The set comes in a reusable box showing the model on the front and back. It makes a nice gift.

*Sizing/fit: Pretty good for OS, fits like M

This comes in Os, so there was no choice for sizing. Based on the sizing chart given, it's fairly accurate.
According to their sizing chart the OS should fit a size 4-14 dress, B chest, 34-40" band, 26-32" waist, 36-42" hip and 90-160 pounds. At the time of this review I am about 145 pounds, size 8 in most jeans, 8/9 in dresses, 36 D bra or DD (on occasion), 34.5" under bust, 38.5" hip, and 30.5" waist.

The tube top part is tight across my D's, but not uncomfortable. It digs in slightly depending on how high or low I pull it too. The band size is a little smaller than the range given, but not horrible. The waist and hips don't have to be worried about for this part. The thong fits like a M though and won't fit larger than about a size 8 or 10 without digging in a little.

Cup: B-D
Band: 32-37" (underneath your breasts) Any smaller than 31" this might slide down.
Waist: Don't worry about this
Hips: 36"- 39"

I really like this set! The top even has the potential to be worn out if you have the right bra. It's flowy, yet doesn't add bulk! That's pretty hard to achieve from a babydoll and that's the reason I don't have many. However, this one is very affordable and super cute.

I like this even more that I've lost weight, but my breasts still fit the same in it. I'm a 34 DD now and they just don't quite fit. It's cheap enough that I don't care much, though.
