Ashley Boutique striped boyshort - shorts discontinued by Oh La La Cheri - review by SMichelle

I purchased these panties to match the Ashley Boutique bra, which I had picked up earlier on. Honestly, that's the only reason that I purchased these, as I wasn't even sure that I'd really like them. As it turns out, though, I really DO enjoy these. They're not perfect, and my boyfriend doesn't find them all that sexy, but they're awfully sweet looking. They're super comfortable, too!

The Basics:
The Ashley Boutique boyshorts are made by Oh La La Cheri, which is a company that I generally get along with. This product was no exception; I got along fantastically with these panties. It should be noted here, however, that these panties are NOT boyshorts. They're more like standard panties -- on me, at least.

Material & Care:
These are made out of 90% Nylon and 10% Spandex.

The panties have a decent amount of stretch to them, but I wouldn't really recommend stretching them pass the size charts recommendations. I just feel like you'd end up with a lot of muffin top if you did, because these panties are meant to fit snugly against your body.

The fabric is very comfortable against my skin; there was no irritation at all. The panties feature a small cotton pantyliner, which is nice.

The front of the panties are opaque in nature. The front is also smooth and silky to the touch, and yes, very touchable, indeed! The back of the panties is made up of lace, and so it is sheer in nature. The lace is soft and delicate, yet it appears to be fairly sturdy, as well. I have not treated these panties with a great amount of care, but I have yet to experience a single snag. The lace is also not itchy at all, which was surprising.

To care for these panties, you should hand wash them in cold water. Also, be sure to hang them to dry, as the dryer could ruin the delicate lace.

Sizing:
I purchased these panties in XL, simply due to the fact that I have a bit of an ass.

According to the size chart, an XL should fit someone with a 42"-45" hip measurements.

Now... I have a 40" hip measurement, so I obviously fall below the size chart. The trouble is, a large would've given me major muffin top, whereas the XL fits comfortably. In my opinion, these are sized a bit small for an XL.

Design:
Just a few points about the design...

** The striped front with the lace back provides a very sexy and interesting contrast. It's eye-catching, and it makes for quite a surprise for your partner when you turn around.

** The panties do have a bow on the center front. In my experience, the bow is NOT securely attached, so removing it should be no issue.

** The little lace ruffle by leg holes probably will not lay as pictured. On me, the lace kind of flares out, or ends up curling under, getting stuck under the elastic. It's not a huge deal, but it's worth noting.

** These have a pantyliner, which is wonderful!

** These are NOT boyshorts, in my opinion. They're simply a very sexy pair of panties.

Quality:
The quality is decent. I didn't notice a lot of loose threads, and the material has survived multiple wears. The bow, however, fell off after just one wear. For me, that wasn't a huge deal; I don't really miss the bow, but if I did, I could've sewn it back on. For others, however, the bow being so poorly attached might be a big disappointment.

I really love these panties, although they aren't really my boyfriends cup of tea. He says that they're a bit too "innocent looking" for his taste, but that's just personal preference.

In my own opinion, these are sexy. They make me feel sexy AND comfortable. I really do like them, even if they aren't my favorite pair of panties.
