Will Stay Up but Not Worth the Price

I would recommend these to those who don't care about getting multiple uses out of them or are just going to use for bedroom play. If you plan on wearing them out or putting them through any serious use, save your money and get something better because you will be disappointed.

I have been wearing these for a while now, and every pair I buy I have to throw away after wearing only a handful of times. They are made of a thin nylon; the first time they snag on ANYTHING, (be it a zipper or even a hang nail when you are putting them on) they rip. I may just be rough on my fishnets, but I only get one or two uses out of these. There are better ones out there that hold up to wear much better and are more comfortable.

The stay up lace top is a nice fit is you have average to slightly muscular thighs but would be too tight to look good on larger thighs. It has a slightly tacky strip that helps to grip the skin and keep the tops in place. This works well, and you will not have to worry about them falling down in the middle of your evening out. I have a bit more muscle to my thighs as I spent most all of my childhood doing ballet, but if you have a smaller thigh, you may have problems with keeping them up.

Make sure you hand wash these because if you try to run them through the laundry, you just wasted your money; they will rip instantly if you do that.

I keep buying them because I like the lace top and the back seam plus it stays up better then anything I have found, but I only wear them once or twice a month so it really isn't that bad to spend $8 a month on fishnets. If I was wearing them more often, I would invest the money in something a little bit better quality even if it meant spending more money on them.

I would not recommend these to anyone who wants to wear them out. If you are looking for just wearing them for a bedroom scene, you should be fine as they won't take much if any abuse that way.
Follow-up commentary
With a bit of careful walking and making sure they get washed in my shower instead of a sink, they are holding up a bit longer then they had previously. I have changed water companies, so it may have had something to do with the way the old one treated the water.

Thanks for the review. Sorry they weren't what you had hoped for.

Sorry these didn't last for you. I use mine with a garter belt and have gotten many wears out of them. As a matter of course, fish nets don't really last that long, so unless you like the cliche punk "ripped fish net" look, they usually last anywhere from 2 to 10 wears.

I do prefer stockings without the silicone band at the top. They are much better used with a garter belt.

That is always my complaint with hose is that they rip. I need them industrial strength to have more than a few wears. Oh well. Thanks for the review!

I very careful with my hosiery. Years of having to wear hosiery for dance recitals at $25 a pop...you can bet my parents did want to pay for more than one pair. I often did 5 shows in a 3 day weekend and needed to keep those puppies in tip top shape! I think that these are still worth a shot for me. They look sexy!

I have such a hard time with thigh highs at all. I love them, but I have a terrible time keeping them up. Hopefully, some day you'll find some blissful lingerie that will not run.

    Thanks for the review.

LaUr3n: These are nowhere near the same quality material as dance fishnets. I still have a few pairs from jazz recitals and those hold up wonderfully. It is similar to comparing a pair of ballet tights to regular pantyhose, they are a much cheaper material that is not made to be worn a lot for long periods of time.

Thanks for the review, I was looking to buy these but I want something more durable

I don't really mind only being able to wear a pair of fishnets a few times before they rip. Once they rip, I tend to just cut them up a little more and wear them that way with certain outfits, or, even more fun, wear them in the bedroom and let him cut or rip them off of me.

Have you had problems with other types of fishnet stockings ripping easily?
  • Contributor: KatPawz2003
I have tried a few others and some do, while others don't. I would have to look at the packages of the ones I have and try to remember which pair is which to tell you. I will wright down the brand and style next times I buy.

Good review. Handwashing is a fricken pain though.

Unless that are tights for ballet/etc... all stocking/leggings/fishnets should get handwashed due to the quality of materila they use to make them.
