Lia teaser 1 - g-spot vibrator discontinued by Cal Exotics - review by SelectZen

Packaging:
When I first received the Lia Teaser by California Exotics, I was pleased to see that it arrived in a simple plastic box with some designs on it as well as specifications for the toy. It was nice to not have to look at some of the more crude images and slogans that can appear on boxes. Being clear plastic it also gives you a clear view of the product straight away. My first impressions were that it looked pretty nice. It is a nice shade of pale blue and nicely curved.

Care:
Once out of the box I was impressed by how sturdy the toy feels. The toy itself is made from silicone which is one of the safest materials you can get for toys. It is non-porous and phthalates free. As with all silicone toys make sure to use a water based lubricant and not a silicone one as you will destroy the finish. The fact that the toy is waterproof means that cleaning it is as simple as warm water and soap but as with all toys that are waterproof it would be best not to submerge it for an extended period of time. Alternatively you can use specialist toy cleaner.

Measurements:
It measures in at a generous nine inches with six and a half of those insertable. The silicone has a nice feel to it, softer then some silicone toys. It had a wonderful ergonomic design. Grooves run down the top of it to increase g-spot stimulation. It is rigid until about an inch and a half from the top which means the neck of bulbous head has some give to it, a real plus as it can adapt a little to suit your body. The head itself is solid throughout. There is the minor aesthetic problem of a slight seam running down the length of the toy but it isn’t much of an issue as the material is quite soft.

Function:
The functionality of the toy is incredibly simple. There are two buttons. The first is simply power on and power off. The other is the function button. The toy has ten different modes of stimulation. Each time you press the function button it switches modes. It has three speed settings on standard vibrations which are also controlled by the function button by pressing the button you can cycle from low, medium and high in standard vibrations but once past that it starts cycling through modes (pulsation and escalation). This can be a little inconvenient if you happen to hit the key at the wrong moment because you have to press it ten more times to get back to what mode you were on.

Power:
It is powered by two AA batteries. The motor itself has relatively strong vibrations on the two higher of the settings which is good as vibrations don’t always travel well through silicone/rubber toys.


In conclusion I would say that the Lia Teaser is a good buy for beginner and intermediate collectors. It is beautifully designed to look at and to use. The buttons are simple to use but the lack of a second function key to cycle backwards through modes/strength is a bit of a letdown. The fact that the toy is waterproof means it is great for shower use but I wouldn’t recommend it in the bath. It is beautifully designed with a fairly unique handle on the base. I think it would be a great middle of the road insertable vibrator before moving up to rechargeable toys.
