Just a tease!

While I was okay with this toy being weak, I wasn't prepared for it to be THIS weak. I would have thought that this toy was broken if I hadn't read the other reviews! The vibrations are for sure more for teasing than finishing the job, though it does have a nice g-spot tip and is very quiet. In total, this toy is interesting, but most people will wish it had more oomph.

Use

The Lia Teaser 1 is a toy from California Exotics. This silicone vibrator has a multi-speed motor located near the tip of the toy. It's quite versatile, but earns its title as a teaser.

The main use for this toy is vaginal insertion. The long shaft makes it easy to insert, especially if you like toys that can go deeper than average, and the smooth material makes it very easy to thrust with. This toy also has a wide, curved tip that makes it good for moderate g-spot stimulation.

This toy also is good for clitoral stimulation. The vibrations are strongly located in the tip, making it good for pinpoint or broad stimulation. It also is a nice size to stimulate the nipples or other erogenous zones.

Even though it has a good handle and is thin, this toy really isn't recommended for anal insertion. If you attach a retrieval cord to the handle and keep it around your wrist it would be fine, but otherwise it may be a better bet to get something with a flared base.

If you want a first toy to use as a couple, this would be an alright option. It's small and feminine, and is pretty versatile. While it is weak, it would be a nice addition to foreplay and can be used easily during sex because of the long shaft.

If you want a first toy in general this will probably be too weak. It has a good shape, is versatile, and has some neat settings, but I feel like it's not going to be strong enough for someone who wants a vibrator instead of a dildo.

This toy 100% passes Ryu's dorm seal of approval. It's super quiet, easy to care for, and is waterproof. It is a bit large, but is still petite enough that you can stash it into a bag or drawer.

Material / Texture

The Lia Teaser is made of silicone and plastic. These are both nice, safe materials, and the silicone shaft is what drew me to this toy in the first place. Silicone is my favorite material for insertable toys.

Silicone is rated a 10 out of 10 on the Eden Safety Scale. It's nonporous and body safe, meaning that it won't leak gross chemicals into you and that bacteria can't live under the surface of the toy. It's flexible and soft, and usually has a bit of drag to it.

Plastic is rated an 8 out of 10 on the Eden Safety Scale. It's very firm, and almost never has any drag to it at all. Plastic can't be boiled, so in order to disinfect this toy you should wipe it down with a 10% bleach solution.

Even though silicone is soft, most of this toy has little give to it because it's over firm plastic. Right before the g-spot tip there is some give, where the plastic inside ends, but that's only the ypper third of the shaft. The silicone does cause it to have a bit of drag, but the girth is thin so lube is not a must with this toy.

The light, powdery blue that this toy comes in is very pretty and attractive. It's not super feminine, but it's also not the most masculine option. The handle is a slightly grayer shade of blue than the silicone shaft, but they're very similar.

While the toy is totally smooth in material, there are three ridges in the shaft. The first, which is 2 inches down the shaft, is the smallest. They are each about half an inch apart, and the third ridge is the largest. They can be felt during use, but the soft material makes them less intense than I thought they would be.

This toy is made of great, safe materials. It's very smooth and has little texture, and the color is very pretty. All users will appreciate the nice materials this toy is made of.

Design / Shape / Size

The design of the Lia Teaser is what drew me to it in the first place. It's cute, fun, and looked like it would be a great fit for my anatomy. It's also a very thin toy, which is great for people who aren't a fan of thicker insertable vibrators.

The Lia Teaser 1 is fairly long, reaching almost 9 inches in total. It's also got an insertable length of just over 6 inches, so it's good for people who like long toys or have deep g-spots. The widest part of the toy, which is right before the handle, is 4.75 inches around, but most of the toy is much thinner than that. The tip is 4.5 inches around at the widest point.

This toy is much longer than the average penis, but is is thinner at most points. The design would be good to use externally during sex because of the length, but it may case some 'it's bigger than me' complaints if your partner is insecure about his length.

The tip of this toy is very round, but does come to a bit of a point at the tip. After the round head, the thin neck slowly widens until right before the handle. About 2 inches in in a ridge, and the two other ridges are .5 inches apart down the shaft. They aren't sharp, but can be felt lightly during use.

Because most of this toy is silicone over a plastic backbone, the bottom 2/3 of the toy has little give and no flex to it. The top 2.5 inches does not have plastic in it, and can easily be bent. While it can be bent, it's firm enough to put pressure on my g-spot.

The handle of this toy is pretty bizarre. It is a round shaft, but where the buttons are is a small hole. It reminds me of a feature where you could attach a phone charm to it, or it to a necklace. The only real disadvantage I've found to this is that it is a bit hard to dry off when you wash the toy.

The unique design of this toy makes it great for moderate g-spot stimulation. If you like intense g-spot stimulation from firm toys, the give from the tip of the Lia teaser might not work well. It's a nice design, and would work well for people who aren't looking for a girthy toy.

Functions / Performance / Controls

The performance of the Lia Teaser is where it doesn't quite cut it. Even though this toy is labeled as a 'teaser,' I assumed that I could get a little bit more power from it than it gave me. I agree with another reviewer, that at first you have to wonder if it's on or your batteries are bad.

This toy is controlled by two buttons, on either side of the 'hole' in the handle. There is a power button and a settings button. The power button turns the toy off and on, while the other button changes what setting the toy is on. You have to first press the power button to turn it on low. The settings are as follows:

1) Low (.5 bees, .5 vrooms)
2) Medium (.5 bees, 1 vroom)
3) High (1 bee, 2 vrooms)
4) BZZZ BZZZ BZZZ BZZZ
5) BZZZZZ BZ BZZZZZ BZ BZZZZZ
6) BZZZZZ BZ BZ BZZZZZZZ BZ BZ BZZZZZZ
7) bbb bzzz Bzzz BZZZZ bbb bzzzz Bzzz BZZZZ
8) bbbbbbBBBBBBZZZZZZ BZ BZ bbbbbbBBBBBZZZZZ BZ BZ
9) bbbbbbbBBBBBBZZZ BZ BZ ZZZZZZBBBBBBBbbbbbbbb
10) bbb BBB BZZZ bbbbbBBBBBBBZZZZZZ

The motor of this toy is located at the tip of this toy. Because of the weak vibrations, you really can't feel them much down the shaft, and certainly not in the handle. You could use this all night and the motor wouldn't numb your fingers. The vibrations are also fairly rumbly.

This toy is also waterproof, making it great for bath or shower play. The smooth material and thin girth mean that you don't have to use lube in the bath or shower, which is a plus.

In total, this toy is a total tease. It's very quiet and has lots of patterns, but it's too weak even for the more sensitive users out there. While I am not a power queen by any means, I was wishing this toy had a little more kick, especially for the price.

Care and Maintenance

This toy is pretty easy to clean and care for. The ridges do collect a bit of gunk but are very easy to clean, and I don't insert this toy in deep enough to catch gunk where the plastic meets the silicone. It's not too much of a lint magnet, so if you store it in a clean place you can just wash it after each use. I clean this toy with an antibacterial toy cleaner, but you can just as easily use soap and water or a toy wipe.

The best way to disinfect this toy is by wiping it down with a 10% bleach solution. This should be done every time you switch users to prevent the spread of bacteria and infection.

Silicone should not be stored in contact with other silicone toys because the two could react together, especially if they're from different companies. Similarly, you should not use silicone based lube with silicone toys.

Packaging

The packaging for the Lia Teaser 1 is very basic. The front of the packaging has a few flowers and the name of the toy and brand. It's also transparent, so you can easily see the toy that is inside of the box.

The back of the box has an image of the toy with some points highlighting the features. It gives some basic information about the functions, batteries, and material. While it didn't come with any additional information, what was printed on the back was sufficient.

The box is fairly flimsy and is quite a bit larger than the toy, so it's not the best for storage. It has no lewd images on it, but it's also pretty clear what it's made for, so it would be a fine box to wrap up and give as a gift if the person receiving it was fine with getting a sex toy.

Experience

I had been looking at the Lia Teaser 1 for a while, and when it went on 35% off sale I just had to snag it. I loved the color and shape of this toy, and I don't need super strong vibrations so I wasn't worried about the weak vroom rating.

When I got this toy I found that this toy was SUPER weak. It was also quiet, but the weak motor wasn't enough to get me excited, even when used externally. The tip is great for g-spot stimulation, but if you want g-spot vibrations this is not for you.

If you want a dildo that has a weak motor, this might be for you, but if you want something that has enough oomph to finish the job I'd look elsewhere. The good material, waterproof capapbilities, and lot noise level all work in its favor, but for the price I really would expect this to have a better motor. Because of that I am giving this toy 3 out of 5 stars.

Great review! This has to be one of the weakest vibrators I've run across. It's just awful. Too bad because I really do like the shape of it.

When I got this there was no price point attached. I agree with you - at this price it should be at LEAST three vrooms. Tsk tsk.
