Slimline passion wave jack rabbit - rabbit vibrator by Cal Exotics - review by Breas

The Slimline Passion Wave Jack Rabbit by Cal Exotics arrived in a rectangular cardboard box. The front of the box states the company name, product name, a few product features, and has a picture of the toy. The back of the box has another photo of the toy and states even more features of the rabbit. The side of the box is where you’ll find information on the material of the product, company contact information, and website. The packaging can be used to store the toy or it can be recycled.



Inside of the cardboard box, the toy is wrapped with plastic but not sealed. There is no included instruction manual but the back of the cardboard packaging does briefly explain which buttons do what. I’ll include all this information though in the review.

The rabbit is made of TPE and has a plastic base. The toy has a faint rubbery scent and does not have a taste. The rubbery scent goes away after being out of the packaging for a while. The TPE is squishy and flexible.



You can’t really flex the shaft because of the plastic discs inside but the clitoral arm can be bent all the way backwards. The ears to the clitoral arm are also flexible and soft. The toy has quite a bit of drag to it but this can easily be remedied with lubricant. Both silicone and water based lubricants can be used with the Slimline Passion Wave Jack Rabbit.

The toy is pink in colour and the TPE is clear so you can see the bullet and discs inside of the toy. There are 3 columns of discs in the shaft. These columns are 2 ¾ inches in length and 1 ¼ inches wide. The clitoral arm is in the shape of a rabbit. The rabbit has a “face” but the eyes and nose and clear in colour so it’s not really noticeable. The rabbit’s ears sit side by side and are approximately ¾ of an inch in length. The toy is smooth with no texture- expect for the pronounced head. There are no seam lines to the toy.

The toy requires 3x AA batteries, which are not included. The battery compartment is located at the very bottom of the toy. The cap to the compartment is a twist off lid. It’s very easy to both access and close the compartment. There is a clear O-ring at the compartment to ensure that no water gets into it since the toy is waterproof. Just be sure to close that cap tightly before bringing it into the shower, bath, etc.



There are 5 buttons at the front of the base that control the toy. The left hand side has an upwards (^) arrow and a downwards (v) arrow. These arrows on the left hand side control the speed of the discs in the shaft. The discs create a “wave” motion by rolling up the shaft. The buttons on the left hand side are labelled “rotation” but the shaft doesn’t rotate at all. Again, the left hand side of buttons control the speed of the “wave”.



Then on the right hand side you have another upwards (^) arrow and a downwards (v) arrow. These arrows control the speed of the clitoral arm and are labelled “vibration”. The shaft and clitoral arm are controlled separately so you can have both or just one on, or have one at max power and one at the lower level of vibrations.

Both the clitoral arm and shaft have three levels of power: low, medium, and high. There are light indicators above the arrows to let you know which level you are on (1 light means first level, etc). It’s very simple to use. You just press the upward (^) arrow to increase the speed and the downward (v) to decrease. There is no power button to turn the toy off or on. To turn the toy on you just press one of the upward (^) arrows and to turn the toy off, press the downward (v) arrows until the toy no longer vibrates/waves.

The last button is at the top centre of the arrows. It’s a circular button that says “R/S”. This button reverses the wave motion in the shaft. When you first turn the shaft on, the waves are moving upwards. When you press the R/S button, the discs will start to wave in a downward motion. To get the discs moving upwards again, just press that R/S button once more and you’ll be back to normal.

The discs are pretty strong. I asked my partner to grip the shaft with his hand when it was on the highest power. I told him to try and make the discs stop. He tried- he failed. The strength of the clitoral arm does not decrease when the shaft power is on the highest level. I submerged the toy in water and it works perfectly.

The toy is quite loud. It can definitely be heard through the covers and most likely a closed door as well. The clitoral arm isn’t as noisy as the shaft when it’s being used. The power is “okay”. I’d say it’s a 3.5 out of 5 on the highest level… but I’m also comparing it to the Silly Diver. I’ve given the vroom rating a 4, but it’s slightly lower than that (I wish we could give half stars!).

I think the power of the clitoral arm will satisfy most people. I was satisfied but it took me a lot longer than my more powerful toys. The discs can be felt when inserted. The vibration of the clitoral arm is between rumbly and buzzy. The toy would work well for beginners since it’s easy to use but those who are new to insertables or those who prefer the more slender toys may not appreciate the circumference of the toy.

The toy can be cleaned with soap and water, toy wipes, or a toy cleaning spray. TPE cannot be sterilized though so you’ll want to cover the toy with a condom every time if you are sharing it. With TPE being porous, you may want to cover the toy with a condom even if you are not sharing it just to keep the material cleaner. The material collects lint like crazy so you’ll want to clean the toy both before and after each use.

Overall, it’s a nice toy but there are better options available. I’ve deducted two stars from the rating because it’s really loud, the power won’t satisfy those who need scary amounts of vibration (like me), and the TPE is not the safest material available. It’s a good toy but there are better toys available for a similar, or lower, price.
