Black magic super bullet - bullet discontinued by Doc Johnson - review by DeliciousSurprise

The Black Magic Super Bullet is a jumbo sized bullet style vibrator by Doc Johnson, who brought you the Black Magic Pleasure Kit and the whole Black Magic line of toys. This is perfect for people who need a broader base of stimulation than traditional (read: small) bullet vibrators provide, since it's 6" long, with a 5" circumference, or who want to use this toy for penetration in addition to using it for external stimulation. It feels fairly heavy, but it only weighs in at a quarter of a pound. I guess it's just solid? The plastic isn't odorless, but it's got a very faint scent I don't notice if I'm not right next to it.

The plastic is gently matted with a very subtle velvet texture along the whole vibrator. Mine isn't completely smooth, as it has an imperfection on it causing a bump right before the seam, which when lined up with the line on the cap shows that it's been twisted far enough to make the toy waterproof--though you can turn it further. This doesn't impact use, but it's noticeable when it's used for penetration. There is a line between the shaft of the toy and the bottom, where you unscrew it to insert the batteries, that's also very noticeable during use. This joint is very important as it contains the O-Ring that waterproofs the toy. Oh, did I forget to mention that earlier? Yep, the Super Bullet can be safely brought into the bathtub with you for water play.

To power the toy, you just insert the batteries and hit the button on the bottom of the toy, which lets you cycle through three intensities (low, medium and high) or hit it four times to turn it off. There are no patterns or interesting modes on this toy, but the intensities are enough to do the job properly for me--and even on the highest setting, the Super bullet is very quiet, and cannot be heard through a closed door. The vibrations aren't Hitachi strong, and they don't feel MiMi strong, but they're a bit stronger than Form Bunny feels and will satisfy most users.

The vibrations are most intense at the tip of the bullet, and are weaker at the bottom where you'd be holding it, but even the shaft has strong vibrations. This is a rumbly toy, compared to those that are more buzzy, which makes the vibrations themselves seem more intense. This toy would be a great one to use as a couple's toy, since the larger size would mean that each partner would be able to feel it if it was positioned between them, and the strong vibrations would mean nobody would get the short end of the bullet.

It's got a pretty weird battery system; when you unscrew the top of the toy it looks like you broke it, but then you turn the toy upside down and give it a shake, and a triangular battery compartment that fits 3 AA batteries. If the top isn't on tightly enough, the toy won't turn on, so make sure you've got it twisted properly.

The Super Bullet also has a cord that is too large for me to use as a hand-hold; if I wrap it around my wrist twice, it kind of cuts off the circulation, but it would be good as a grasp if you chose to use this anally.


Made of plastic, the Super Bullet is non-porous and phthalate-free, but it's not as safe as other materials since it cannot be fully sterilized. If you do plan on sharing it with other users, or using this anally I recommend you cover it with a condom. Cleaning is pretty easy, as the waterproof features of this toy make maintenance a snap--you just need to make sure you clean the crevice where you screw the cap on, as bacteria and bodily fluids can connect in there.

This is also a really great toy for foot massages--the rounded tip and general shape of this toy are especially helpful when you're just trying to kick back with it. I like multi-use products!
