Flex-A-It'll do

This is a very creative and fun toy. It would be great for couples or solo play, and I really enjoy how bendable the stem is. Unfortunately this didn't do it for me as an insertable toy, but I really like it nonetheless. The jelly coating doesn't seem to add anything but make it less sanitary, but I still wouldn't hesitate to recommend this toy.

Use

This versatile little toy is really one of the more multi-use toys I've seen, and has something to offer those that can look past it's flaws. It is fully bendable, meaning that you can point it in a direction and it will stay that way. This makes it good for insertion, but due to the flexibility it can't put very firm pressure on the g-spot.

You also can use this clitorally with ease. The bendable, long neck makes it easier to use than a bullet, especially since you have something larder to grab on to. You also can use it on the nipples and other erogenous zones.

You CAN use this toy anally, but I recommend putting a condom over the tip and shaft unless you only plan to use it anally. The material is the main concern, but it is safe shape wise for anal play and insertion.

This would be a good couples toy, especially if you're looking for something to use between you during intercourse. The flexible stem means that you can twist this into any shape so that it can give the stimulation you want but not impede the main action. If you're looking for something to use with a partner as foreplay or to introduce toys into the bedroom, this is also a good choice. The small shape and compact design make it a good way to introduce toys.

Due to the small size and noise levels this passes Ryu's dorm seal of approval. It's also waterproof, which makes it great for use in the public showers!

Material / Texture

The bulb on the tip of this is a bullet covered in a thin layer of jelly, and then the control base is made of plastic. The jelly has almost no give to it, as well as almost no drag. It truthfully feels very similar to hard plastic, but it is jelly. I really don't see the point in coating it with such a thin layer, while plastic is safer. Lube may be needed for insertion, but it isn't needed due to the smooth surface.

The plastic is firm and pretty slick, but I haven't had any trouble with it slipping out of my hand. It may become hard to handle if you use a lot of lube, but I haven't run into this problem. The jelly had a slight bit of smell out of the box, but it has lessened with use and washing, while the plastic had no smell or taste out of the box.

Jelly is rated a 2 out of 10 on the Eden safety scale, so it is not the best material out there. The surface of the jelly coated part of this toy is very porous, which means that bacteria can hide in the surface and not be able to be removed when cleaning. For this reason you should not share this with a partner you are fluid bonded with and you should decide which orifice you want to use this with and stay that way. If you decide to use this anally and then after washing it decide to use it vaginally, there will still be bacteria from the anus and bowels on the toy. If you really want to, you can always cover the bulb and wire with a condom for use with several orifices, but you still need to be careful.

Plastic is rated an 8 out of 10 on the Eden safety scale, which is much safer and nonporous. You can not boil this toy, but you can wipe the plastic part with a 10% bleach solution to disinfect it.

I personally would not recommend a jelly toy to any user that wanted a long-term toy, but if you're careful and aware of the risks this would be good for both beginners and advanced users.

Design / Shape / Size

I got this because it seemed like a very innovative design for a toy. I really like the idea of a bullet with a handle, such is my adoration for the 'extra long' bullet style or something like my Waterwhirl. This is essentially those, but the bullet is a bit bigger and more powerful. The shape is nice because you can use it for so many different purposes.

It IS quite a bit larger than it seems, which is both a pro and a con. The larger size makes it harder to get pinpoint stimulation and also harder to hide, but the larger size also means that it feels better inserted and that it is a bit more powerful. It is 10.5 inches long in all, and a full 8 of those inches are insertable. It is 4.75 inches around the largest part of the bullet, but it really feels much thinner than that because of the stem.

This would not be good for someone looking for a larger toy that will provide a 'filling' sensation, but I would recommend it for someone looking for a fun addition to their toy box. Beginners may appreciate the small size and versatility because they can experiment with many different sensation and positions.

This toy is easy to tuck into a drawer or overnighter because of the smooth material. This may be the only jelly toy I've ever had that didn't double as a lint roller, so that's a huge bonus. If you left it out on the desk you may be able to pass it off as a booklight as long as they don't get too good a look at it, but it isn't exceptionally discreet.

Functions / Performance / Controls

Overall, this is a pretty good toy. The large size of the bullet allows for a more powerful, rumbly bullet to be inside of it. While it is still pretty buzzy compared to some of my other vibrators, it is less so than say the Bullet Buddy's bullet or the Birthstones vibrator. The vibrations are located in the jelly-encased bullet on the tip of the stem, but the vibrations do travel down the stem into the handle a bit. This isn't enough to numb ones hand, but holding on the the tip directly led to quickly numb fingers.

It is about 3 vrooms of power, which is enough to get the average person off. If you have a very hard-to-please clitoris or g-spot this may just be a warm up or tease toy, but I have no complaints about the power level. It clocks in at about 2 bees, and can not be heard through a door. It is easily covered up by the sound of running water from the shower. If you have very thin walls you may want to consider playing music when you use this toy, but for the average person the noise level is not a huge concern.

It is controlled by a turn-dial base. This is both a good thing and a bad thing, all depending on your priorities. It is not difficult to accidentally change the setting in the middle of the action which I know is a problem if the button is where your fingers are, but at the same time it can be difficult to change the setting at all if your hands are wet or slippery. It also is not easy to get the exact speed you want, but similarly it is a good control to look for in a toy if you want to slowly work your way up to a higher vibrational level.

On the lowest setting I found that clenching on to the tip slowed down the motor, but on the higher settings this didn't happen. Clenching onto it also didn't increase of decrease the noise levels. It feels well made and I can see the motor lasting for a long time.

Completely waterproof, this performed very well in the shower. I also submerged it while cleaning it and had no troubles with finding water in the battery compartment later.

Care and Maintenance

The Flex A Pleasure is pretty easy to care for. It does collect lint and dust, so you should rinse it before and after every use. You should not store it in contact with other jelly toys because they can potentially melt together, but other than that you should store it in a cool, dry place. I store mine in the box, but it is much bigger than the toy itself and a bit inconvenient.

This is compatible with both water and silicone lubes, so you can use your preferred brand without any worries. I would also recommend removing the batteries before and after use to prolong both their and the toy's lifespan.

I wash mine with an antibacterial toy cleaner, but toy wipes or even soap and water are fine to clean this with. The jelly comes clean fairly easily which is a big plus.

Personal comments

This toy takes some crazy batteries, but luckily comes with them. This to me seems like the strangest thing because there is enough room in the base to use AAA or even AA batteries. I personally am using this as a timer for how long I should keep the toy because of the unsafe material. I am assuming that by the time the batteries die enough bacteria has built up in the jelly coating to make it time to toss it anyways.

Experience

I got this because of the innovative design and I like anything that will allow me to hold a small vibe more easily. I really appreciated the long neck, especially in the shower because I could stand up straight and still easily reach the right spots.

The flexible neck allowed for great external play, but when I went to insert it I found it a little bit gawky. The neck was first painfully pressing against my clitoris, but when I went to bend it out of the way I found that I lost pressure to my g-spot as well. I tried to curve the shaft and put pressure on my g-spot that way, but the neck was just too flexible.

Overall, this is a great toy and a good price, but it just didn't do it for me used internally. I did find that I liked it clitorally more than I thought I would and I will be keeping it in my drawer for that purpose, but I wouldn't recommend this if you're looking for something to put pressure on your g-spot.

I give this a 3 out of 5 because of the great design and how awesome it was for external use. The two points off are because it's covered in porous jelly and because I couldn't get firm enough pressure on my g-spot. The outrageous batteries are also a concern. I would not hesitate to recommend this toy.
