The material rates an 8 on the safety scale. It is non-porous and can be sanitized with toy cleaners. I would suggest using a condom for anal play, however, the velvety coating can stain. This material is safe for sharing with a proper cleaning in between uses.

There is a slight drag that is pleasant and definitely adds to the sensations. For penetration, add some lube. This is a girthy and rigid vibrator--lube is a must to prevent soreness and tearing while being inserted.

The shape and size is better suited for intermediate to advanced users, but with patience and practice, it can also be enjoyed by beginner users as well. There is a slight plastic odor to the Lavish when it is opened, but it disappears after the first wash . There was no taste to the vibrator.

Lavish is 7 1/2" long, with 5" of it insertable, and is 1 1/2" diameter along the shaft. The tip is 2 1/8" long, 1" diameter and hooks out 1" beyond the shaft. The Lavish has a nice, even weight that makes this balance well while in use. It is the first time I have noticed the weight and balance with a vibrator.

There is a bit of a bulge in the top of the shaft, where one of the motors is located. The tip and the bulge are the strongest areas for vibration, which makes sense since these are the motor locations. The vibrations do travel down the shaft, but are very faint right above the base.

I have other toys that are 1 1/2" diameter and they do not feel as filling as the Lavish. This definitely feels like a thick, girthy vibrator. I do have to warm up a bit before I can even think of using this, but after it is inserted and during orgasm, there is a very full and filling feeling that is also extremely satisfying. I would note that the girth does add to the intensity of both G-spot and clitoral orgasms.

'1' button-- 1.Low 2.Medium 3.High. These are adjustable on all patterns.
'2' button--1.Steady smooth - 2.Steady deep throb - 3.Faster deep smooth - 4.Softer smooth throbbing - 5.Soft deep throb.

To insert batteries, remove the base, pull out the battery pack and add 4 AAA batteries. Replace the pack into the shaft and twist cap on tightly. You are now ready to go! The noise level is very quiet. I would be comfortable using this in a roommate or dorm situation. When you have this under the blankets, there is only a whisper of sound--not even as loud as a fan.

Wash in warm and soapy water, rinse thoroughly and dry with a soft cloth. Go back over the Lavish with a toy cleaner that sanitizes and store in the original packaging. You may also store this in a toy pouch for travel or bedside use.

You may use oil, water or silicone based lubes. I always use water based lube for personal safety, easy clean up and multiple toy compatibility. I do like using a silicone when I am playing with the Lavish in the tub or shower. It does not wash off as easily and is longer lasting and slicker than water based. I do not use oil based lubes due to personal health reasons.
