Good Thing, Small Package

The Serenity is an outstanding example of the best that a smaller traditional dildo can be. Its elegant design is aesthetically pleasing, its size is perfect for those who prefer their toys on the smaller end of the spectrum, and the silicone material is easy to clean and maintain. If you can overlook the fact that the shaft's ridges are more for appeal than function, the Serenity can provide a nice addition to any toy chest.

Use

The Serenity is a petite vibrator designed for vaginal penetration. It's a multi-tasker that can also be used for anal stimulation. The silicone material and relatively small diameter makes for smooth and easy penetration, that both those who prefer their toys on the smaller end and those looking for a more well-rounded toy chest might very much enjoy.

Because of its small size, the Serenity can be easily placed in a purse or even, if occasion necessitates, be thrown into a pants pocket.

Material / Texture

The vibrator's silicone cover is velvety soft and 100% non-porous. It's odorless and tasteless. The textured ribs along the shaft provide little in terms of pronounced stimulation, but they are an attractive aesthetic addition.

The battery case at the Serenity's base is made of hard plastic, and the control buttons glow with a soft red light when the vibrator is turned on.

Design / Shape / Size

When the toy is used for vaginal penetration, the ribs along the side of the Serenity are difficult to feel specifically. They are, however, a gorgeous design addition and add to the vibrator's overall appeal.

Unlike other vibrators that place a silicone sleeve over a hard inner shell, the Serenity is very flexible. The shaft can be bent at up to a 45-degree angle and there is also considerable give when the material is pressed. Pinching the sides together, you can decrease the diameter by approximately a quarter of the overall width.

The vibrating bullet inside the Serenity is located at the top of the shaft and makes an effective clitoral stimulator. The vibrations do not carry particularly well down the shaft, so the sensation that one has from the vibrations towards the base are much weaker than those found higher up on the toy.

Because of its diminutive length and modest diameter, the Serenity is perfect for throwing in your purse or bag.

Functions / Performance / Controls

The battery case is easy to use and does not interfere with the actual functioning of the vibrator. Unlike many vibratory that incorporate the battery case as part of the speed controls, the Serenity has separated the two. The control panel is nicely lit and has two buttons: an on/off button and a second button for controlling the seven vibrating speeds.

The vibrations range from a low hum to a pulsating hum. On its lowest setting, the vibrations are very mild. On its highest setting, the vibrations are strong but not at all overpowering. This would not be a vibrator suitable for those who are looking for strong clitoral stimulation.

The button control panel makes it easy to adjust speeds while the vibrator is inserted and the base's design allows for a good grip even with slippery hands. Because of the Serenity's diminutive size, full insertion means there is little left of the vibrator to hold on to outside the vaginal canal. When used as a g-spot or vaginal opening stimulator, however, the Serenity's length provides all the room one needs.

The Serenity is waterproof and functions in the water exactly as it does on dry land.

Care and Maintenance

The Serenity is best cleaned with antibacterial soap and water, or with a toy cleaner. The solid design of the battery case and button controls means that there are few nooks and crannies for dirt to hide in and fluids are easy to wash off.

Its silicone material means it is only compatible with water and oil based lubricants.

After play, the Serenity may be stored with other toys. It does not come with a storage bag. No particular care needs to be taken with its storage, and one's own personal preference should be one's guide.

I have been interested in a swirly toy like this for some time but if the ridges are hard to feel I might look for something else

The swirls really are nonexistent in terms of sensation, but I've found that to be universally the case when the ridges are that shallow. I'm curious as to what you find in terms of a toy with those ridges and can also provide stimulation.
