Petite Couture Serenity by California Exotics is a traditional vibrator intended for vaginal use. It can be used clitorally but is not that strong. So, if you are sensitive or can get off with low to medium vibrations, this toy is right for you! I caution against using this toy anally, because it does not have a flared base and it is quite small- it measures in at 7” long, with 5” insertable length and a diameter of 1 1/4”. This makes it easy to hide if need be. I don’t think the more experienced user will enjoy this toy as much as the novice will.

This would make a great first vibe. It is made of supple silicone, making it non porous and phthalate free. It has no taste or smell, and lacks an inner spine so it is plenty flexible and is perfect for those exploring their bodies. Since it is so flexible, it can be manipulated to target the g spot with ease. The bullet in the head makes a good firm tip for thrusting , and the second bullet in the base stimulates the vaginal walls. The shaft is tapered with soft swirls that add some texture, but they aren’t very pronounced and can’t be noticeably felt.

Serenity is controlled by the two buttons at the base. When you turn the toy on these two buttons light up red. The button on top is the power- this turns the toy on and off. The second button cycles through the seven functions:

*Low, Medium and High steady vibrations
*Slow Escalating Vibration
*Medium Pulsating Vibration
*Fast Pulsating Vibration, and finally
*Pulsating Vibration that builds up to a steady vibration

These buttons are located on the base of the toy at the top, facing up. For me this is not an issue, but some have difficulties with this type of placement. This toy is very silent, and cannot be heard through covers even.
It takes 2 AAA batteries in the base. The cap is secured on by pushing and twisting it to the right until you hear a click. There are plus and minus symbols in the compartment showing you how to insert the batteries.


Serenity can be cleaned with warm soap and water. Silicone is boilable and dishwasher safe, however I would not recommend those options for this toy because it has the battery compartment. The silicone has some drag to it, so water based lube (only- silicone is only compatible with the water based lubes) is needed for use with this toy. It can be stored wherever you desire.

This toy came in a foam type sleeve inside its box. Packaging is minimal, with no instructions.

I had a nice experience with this toy. I like how pliable it is. I imagined it to be bigger than it is, but it is not too small for me either. It is perfect for those nights when a soft touch is yearned. It is comparable to a gentle love making session. It works wonders in the tub with me, and I had no problems submersing it. Like all toys, it works much better with a fresh pair of batteries, but it still is not that strong. It doesn't quite finish the job for me. If you want a romantic solo session, or if you want to entice your lover with a soft touch, this is the right toy for you.

Thid vibe is just too ... nice for me. It is gentle and has mellow vibrations, and size wise it is not big enough for me to enjoy. Maybe if it was a harder material than flexible silicone would I have enjoyed it more. I gave it to a friend of mine.
