Heart? It showed me its love and left me high and dry...

All in all it is a great toy for those venturing for something differnt or a little added fun for couples but I honestly think there is something that is made of stronger material that can stand up to the use that is intended. The heart was pulsating but it broke mine in return.

Use

This is a cute little clitoral vibe that is good for solo play or partner play because of the fact that it does strap on and leave just enough room for penetration. On that note, there was a minor inconvenience that caused a lot of annoyance in the use of this vibe. Essentially the rounded edges of the heart should sit up right. Well, when the vibe i in this position the cored gets in the way of penetration and my partner complained of unwanted friction.

Material / Texture

Tera Patrick's Pulsating Heart really has three components to it. First the bullet; it is made of steel which proves its durability which is great. The heart; this is made of silicon with cool little ticklers (i call them nubbies because they are so short HAH!) and then finally the straps which are a nylon fiber interwoven with elastic. It does have the slightest scent of cherry which is nice but then eventually wears off and just smell like silicon. whoopee.. It does have several different vibe settings starting with your standard low, med and high then moves on to some nice pulsations. This is great for beginners and could possibly set as a disappointment for some advanced users.

Design / Shape / Size

Honestly, I thought the design was "cute" at best. It had major flaws though. The straps were confusing at first and annoying to attach. Once attached though there seemed to be no problem. After three uses and cleanings the silicon gave and broke at the attachment sites of the straps. This was a serious annoyance and just turned me off to the whole idea of the design. Vibe was good and the different settings were fun. It is used by remote which makes it both good and bad. Good being that you can use triple A batteries and they last longer then the hands free watch batteries. Bad part was the cored getting in the way of partner play. If you tried to move the cored into a different position to move it out of the way then the entire unit would move as well hindering its purpose or use. The Pulsating Heart is easy to hide and can be a great travel companion (if you take the batteries out just in case any buttons were to be pushed). Mainly compatible with water based lubricants (if you feel you need it at all).

Functions / Performance / Controls

OK, here is where I become oppinonated (like as if I hadn't been already). As I mentioned I seriously believe there is a huge flaw design. The concept was great, the vibe is great, I like the material because it is easy to clean and it is non-porous so it doesn't harbor and bacteria but I think it should have been a little bit thicker near the straps so it wouldn't break the way it did for me. The heart was cute but then again when it stretched after you put it on, it looks rather silly and then (for me) I could hardly feel the vibe because it felt like it would pull away from the area in use. This toy is not water proof which is a little bit of a downer (but I think we can all manage right people?). It had a low hum but at the same time it had a high pitched frequency that was just really annoying and made the dog bark and whine at the door (no that's nasty ha ha I knew what you were thinking... All pets were locked out of the room but due to the high pitched noise the toy created it caused him scratch the door up). The controls are simple which is awesome! I feel that if a toy has to many buttons or switches I should be controlling a remote F18 or something.

Care and Maintenance

When caring for Tera Patrick's Pulsating Heart you want to remove the straps and the silicon heart from the bullet and lightly spray it with the recommended toy cleaner but for those that don't have said toy cleaner will then want to use gentile soap and warm water and pat dry with a towel. It's a bad idea to use antibacterial soap just because of the fact that our bodies naturally have good bacteria and that kind of soap will kill that bacteria and cause all sorts of problems. (<-- Just a heads up ladies). Now as far as the bullet goes use the same cleaner and use a wet cloth to wipe clean. Don't completely immerse the bullet into the water due to the fact that it is not water proof and you'll be returning your toy for a new one quicker then you or anyone can snap their fingers. It is a silicon toy so the best lube pairing would be any water based lubricant. Silicon lubricant and silicons don't mix well on a molecular level it cancles one another out and the material will start to disintegrate at a slow pace and bleed onto everything else (storage place, body parts, sheets, ect,.) which then becomes a pain to try and clean up because once it stains it stains. If it stains the skin it takes forever to wash out.
    • Difficult to store
    • Easy to clean
    • High maintenance

Packaging

The packaging was not discreet at all. It's rather bulky length wise and slim width wise (which is fine but when you live with other people that you don't want them to see what you've got to treat yourself its a bad idea). Instructions were included but they were very basic and simple which is great. I don't know about you but when I'm reading instructions for a toy I don't want to feel as if I'm learning how to opperate a helicopter by the time I've finished reading it.
    • Not discreet
    • Very informative
    • Would make a nice gift
Follow-up commentary
I brought this toy back out. Yes I still kept the bullet just in case I needed it. It still does nothing for me... I'm very disheartened by this.
