I'll Ride

The iRide by Doc Johnson is a wonderful toy for anal or vaginal penetration. It not only has a vibrating shaft, but also a vibrating clit stimulator. Due to the clit stimulator's small and smooth design, this toy can still be comfortable for anal use. This toy is great for male or female use. It's u-shaped base allows for a rocking motion that is amazing!

This toy is great to use alone but my partner really enjoys watching me grind on it.
iRide can be placed on the floor, in a chair, or used while laying down in bed. It cannot be used in the shower or any body of water, as it is not waterproof.

The iRide is made up of two types of material: plastic and TPR. The rocking base is plastic. The shaft and clit stimulators are made of TPR which is fairly soft, but not nearly as velvety smooth as silicone. Neither of these materials can be boiled, and TPR is a slightly porous material that requires a good cleaning. The toy did give off a mild rubber smell as well as taste. The shaft definitely required lots of lube for use and wasn't very flexible. It would have been nice if the shaft had some texture to it. It's smooth with no ribbing or bumps.

The texture is more for beginners, but the overall uniqueness of this toy makes it great for all types of users.

The idea of this toy is great! However, I would have preferred for the shaft to have been made with a different type of material; something a little more flexible and textured. The base could have been heavier as well, for more stability when you are grinding on it. I tried using this toy on our carpeted floor but it just slid across and didn't really rock back and forth. I found the best way for me to use it was to grind it against the wall so it didn't slide around.

I didn't find the clit stimulator to be very comfortable. It was hard and actually hurt if I tried to ride it fast. I ended up turning it so the clit was on my backside. The vibrations felt amazing and was a lot more comfortable to ride. The toy itself is 13" long, 6" wide and weighs 2 pounds. The weight and plastic material makes it feel and look cheap. Because this toy is so large it is hard to hide and store. This toy would not easily travel.

There are two large buttons on this toy that say On/Off. One controls the clit stimulator motor and the other runs the shaft motor. Each button has three levels of intensity (Low, Medium and High). Each pattern is a steady vibration. To turn either motor on you simply press the button once for low vibrations, again for medium, again for high and then again to turn it off.

This toy is very loud and I wouldn't recommend it if you are trying to be discreet or have a roommate. The vibrations in the shaft are located near the tip which allow for maximum pleasure. The clit stimulator runs on its own motor, but I found that the vibrations weren't nearly as strong as the shaft.

The buttons are easy to press and simple to cycle through the intensity levels. This toy isn't waterproof. Requires 4AA batteries that are simple to place in the toy.
Unfortunately there is no way to lock the button functions on this toy.

Silicone or water based lubes are safe to use with this toy. TPR is a porous material and cannot be boiled to clean. Your favorite cleaning toy or warm water with soap will work.
This toy was really hard to clean. At the base of the shaft bodily fluids and lube can collect. This area is incredibly hard to clean! I had to use q-tips to get everything cleaned.
If you are sharing this toy make sure to use condoms.
Due to it's large size it's hard to store this toy. I have a large toy bin that I store this in to prevent dust collecting on it.

This toy comes in a large box that has a clear window so you can see the toy inside. The packaging isn't discreet and does not come with instructions. I would use the box to store it in if you do not have any other means to store it.

The difficulty involved in cleaning this toy is something to really consider when purchasing this. The ring around the shaft can easily fill with fluids and because you can't remove the shaft to clean it the potential for bacteria to grow is huge. This is a big turn off for me and hopefully something Doc Johnson takes into consideration if they design an iRide 2.

When I went to sit down on this toy for the first time it was awful. USE LUBE! The material required a lot of lube before I could comfortably sit down but once I was able to it was wonderful. The vibration in the shaft was wonderful and once I learned that I could grind on the toy a lot better with the clit stimulator on my butt I was in heaven. I kept both intensity levels on high and used a towel to keep it from sliding so much on my carpeted floor.
