I Prefer My Bliss in Full Bloom

The Budding Bliss was able to get my bliss budding, but unfortunately wasn't enough to take me to full bloom. This attractive, body-safe dual stimulator would be a great choice for users on the more sensitive side, but if you know you need some power I suggest looking elsewhere.

Use

The Budding Bliss is a dual stimulation or "rabbit" style vibrator with a rosebud shaped clitoral stimulator and a rotating head designed to stimulate the g-spot. The size and design are suitable for a variety of body types and experience levels. In my opinion, it is best for solo use. The toy does all the work, so there's not much action for a partner to see or help out with. It's a little on the loud side, and doesn't have a very discreet design, so I wouldn't recommend this to people who live with others and would like to keep their toys secret. It's also not waterproof, so you can't take it into the bath or shower.

Material / Texture

The Budding Bliss is made from silicone. It's a totally safe, non-porous material, with no taste or smell. The silicone has a very silky, smooth surface with only a slight amount of drag. The shaft is quite firm, although it does have a little bit of squish to it. There are 4 raised vertical lines that swirl around the neck of the toy, but I didn't feel them during insertion or use. The clitoral arm is quite flexible, and can be easily bent back both where it connects to the shaft, and just beneath the rosebud. The rosebud is made up of individual silicone petals and provides texture and extra stimulation to the clitoris. The petals are silky and pliable, but still fairly firm. I found them uncomfortable when placed directly on my clitoris.

Design / Shape / Size

I think the Budding Bliss has quite an attractive design, especially when compared to some of the other rabbit-style toys out there. It is available in a two-tone pink colour scheme, but I chose the more unique option of white with a red rose. My boyfriend doesn't find it as attractive as I do. The first thing he said when he saw it was "It looks like a chicken."

The total length of the toy is 8 1/2", with an insertable length of 4 1/2". This should be sufficient to reach most g-spots, while being short enough to fully insert without bumping the cervix. The shaft is 1 1/2 inches wide, and has a tapered tip. It is easy to insert, and large enough to give me a bit of a full feeling without stretching me.

The clitoral arm curves in which provides a bit of pressure, but it is flexible enough to fit a variety of bodies. When I first insert the toy, the rosebud naturally falls beneath my clit. It is easy for me to move it directly onto my clit, just above it, or all the way up onto my mons.

The battery cap is easy to twist on and off, and has a seal inside that makes the toy splashproof. 4 AAA batteries can be popped into the battery holder, which is then slid into the toy. This makes it easy to remove and store the batteries, which you should do after each use of the toy. The first time I used my Budding Bliss I used new batteries, and left them inside afterwards. The second time I went to use it, the batteries had drained themselves while the toy was off and were completely dead. There are symbols indicating which direction the batteries go in, and the battery holder will only fit into the toy in one direction.

The handle fits nicely into my hand and has some texture to make for easy gripping. The bottom of the toy is flat so you can stand it up on a surface, which is helpful if you want to set it somewhere before you get a chance to wash it. The overall size of the toy is fairly large, so it's not the easiest to hide or travel with.

Functions / Performance / Controls

The controls are simple and easy to use. There are 2 dials on the front of the handle. They are labelled with "OFF" "MAX" and arrows, so you know which direction to turn them in to gradually increase or decrease the speed. The top dial controls the rotation, and the bottom one controls the vibration, but unfortunately there is no label indicating that. The dials click so that you'll know when the power is completely turned off.

The rotations are strong, but have a fairly small range of motion. I was able to feel some g-spot stimulation, but it wasn't intense. The rotations aren't affected when I clench my PC muscles. When I angled the shaft up to try to get more g-spot stimulation, the shaft started to make a popping motion, which doesn't seem like it would be good for the toy. I found that if I lifted the entire toy upwards without angling it, I could get more pressure on my g-spot without the popping.

The vibrations come from a motor located in the bulge you can see on the clitoral arm. They are moderate in strength, and buzzy enough to numb my hand. They were strong enough to feel good, but not strong enough for me to reach orgasm. They are a bit loud, and can be heard through a door.

When I used the vibration and rotation at the same time, the resistance of my vagina made the handle of the toy rotate. This caused the rosebud to move in circles, massaging my clit. It added some extra pleasure, but still wasn't enough to get me off.

Care and Maintenance

The Budding Bliss can be cleaned with antibacterial soap and water, or with toy cleaner. It is non-porous, so you can sterilize it by wiping it down with a 10% bleach solution. Be careful to clean between the petals of the rosebud. Silicone is compatible with water or oil based lubes. Silicone lube can damage silicone toys, so either avoid using it, or make sure to perform a patch test on an inconspicuous area to check for a reaction. It can be stored along with other toys made from safe materials like silicone, glass, or metal but should be kept away from reactive materials like jelly, rubber, or TPR.

Packaging

It comes packaged in a flimsy, clear plastic box that isn't good for storage. It's decorated with a gold floral design, and has a red cardboard insert with some generic information, instructions, and warnings written on the inside.
Follow-up commentary
I haven't used this toy since I wrote my review. It doesn't work for my body at all, and I don't see it working for many people. The vibrations are too weak for me, yet the texture is too intense. People who prefer gentler vibrations probably won't enjoy the texture on the clit stimulator, and those who do like texture on their clits will probably want more intense vibrations.

A chicken? Haha, I think it's quite pretty as well, though I must say I was wondering about how comfortable that rose would be. Thanks for all the info
