It Is More Than Just A Pretty Blue Vibrator With A Curve That Won't Quit!

Sometimes it is nice to return to the basics in life, and that is what the Pretty Pearl G-spot vibrator did for me. This toy gives me good G-spot orgasms without any fuss. The tip can leave me with a slight feeling of overstimulation, and sometimes it can get caught on my pubic bone. However, the curved tip makes a wonderful clit stimulator. The head is firm, but the neck is flexible. Overall, I think this toy is worth the money and would make a great beginner's G-spot toy.

Use

The Pretty Pearl G-spot is a vibrator that is targeted to help stimulate a woman's G-spot. The toy doesn't have a flared base, but the length is long enough to use anally in my opinion. As long as you keep a firm grip on the end, I don't see a problem. This toy also comes in a variety of colors, so men can order their favorite as well. The curve and tip could very easily stimulate the prostate, but there is always a chance that the curve will not fit everyone. If the tip isn't satisfactory when used as an internal toy, the curved tip makes a wonderful clitoral stimulator. It also helps you reach your clit easier than a straight toy. This way, you don't have to bend your wrist or hand in a weird position. The toy is bent to please all of your erogenous zones!
This toy does feature an O ring, so it is indeed waterproof. I have submerged this toy on more than one occassion, and it still works perfectly. I feel very confident in telling everyone that they can enjoy this in the shower or bathtub. In fact, it may even become your new favorite water buddy! I believe this toy would work for just about everyone, especially beginners. The price is affordable, and it is made out of materials that are higher on the Eden Safety Scale than most others. If you enjoy G-spot play during solo play, this toy could definitely help you reach it. For me, though, it works better in the more capable hands of my husband.

Material / Texture

This vibrator is made out of two different materials. The light blue shaft is made out of TPR, and the darker blue base is made out of plastic. The plastic is shiny, non-porous, hypo-allergenic, and latex/phthalates free. The base is a bit difficult to hold onto after everything is lubed up as the shiny surface becomes quite slippery. The plastic has no smells or tastes, and it is extremely rigid.
The TPR shaft is a bit tricky. The packaging and the vibrator's product page lists this material as being non-porous, but the safety rating guide only gives it a safety rating of 7. When the TPR link is clicked on, EF tells you that the TPR material is less porous than Jelly or Cyberskin, but it is more porous than glass or steel. I know from other TPR toys that this material is in fact porous, but it is safe for your body as it is phthalates free and hypo-allergenic. It is also latex free. Unlike its plastic base, the TPR shaft does contain a smell. It has a somewhat strong plastic odor to it. The smell transfers to fingers and hands after handling the toy. It also kind of tastes like plastic/rubber. Because it is porous, a condom is always recommended when sharing with a partner or when using this toy anally. The shaft is also rigid, except for the thinnest part (which is located right underneath the large G-spot head). This area can flex a little bit in any direction, but it takes a bit or pressure to do so. The TPR material has a slight drag to it, so lube will be necessary. Silicone and water based lubes are okay to use with TPR toys. Although it has some drag, I wouldn't say that the toy's surface feels sticky. I have never noticed it become tacky, even after a cleaning. This being said, it still manages to pick up lint and pet hair. The shaft does contain a small seam that runs down the middle, but it cannot be felt during use.

Design / Shape / Size

This vibrator takes after the typical G-spot design. The large, blunt head is curved to help stimulate the G-spot/P-spot. The end of the curve is complete with a tip that is curved even more to help make the stimulation become pinpointed. The head can be a little difficult to insert at first. Of course, lubricant always helps. It also helps if you angle the head to where the curve is fully vertical, so that the tip is inserted first. Once the head is inserted, then you can straighten it out so that the curve is back to being angled upwards. The tip is blunt and rounded off, which is better for me compared to the pointy tips of other G-spot vibrators. The curved head leaves you feeling full. The smaller, thin neck located underneath the head lets your vaginal muscles relax while you are being stretched and filled by the head. You can insert almost 7 inches of this vibrator, but I find that I only need the first 3-4 inches. I usually stop right about where the thin neck is. Most people will not need to insert the whole 7 inches as the G-spot is said to be located within the first three inches of the vaginal canal. Of course, you can also treat this as a regular vibrator if this doesn't work for you as a G-spot toy. It gives me vaginal orgasms just as easily as it gives me G-spot orgasms. The design isn't artistic, and it obviously looks like a vibrator. The curved tip can feel too pinpointed after a few orgasms, and occassionally it likes to catch on my pubic bone. Other than that, I don't really have any complaints on how this toy is designed.

Functions / Performance / Controls

It is kind of ridiculous how crazy it is to operate this vibrator. After so many months of dealing with high tech vibrators, I forget how easy the less luxurious ones can be. Before using the toy, unscrew the cap located at the bottom of the toy and insert two AAA batteries. The toy can run off rechargeables too! After screwing the cap back on tightly, press the push button that can be found at the bottom of the cap. One press will give you the low continuous vibration setting, the second press will bring you to the medium setting, and the third press will bring you to the final setting which is the high mode. A final press will turn the toy off. There is no other way to turn the toy off other than cycling through all three speeds. All of the vibrations are located in the head, but they travel through the shaft pretty well. The vibrations are in the middle of buzzy and rumbly, and they are medium in intensity. I am not left with itchy fingers or irritated skin after a session. On the highest setting, the vibrator gives off a slight noise that can be compared to a cell phone vibrating. Once inserted, the noises become more muffled and quiet. Another thing to note is that battery life is about average. It doesn't suck down batteries like some vibrators can.

Care and Maintenance

Thanks to the waterproof feature, this vibe is very easy to clean after a good play session. Simply clean with warm water and antibacterial soap. Toy cleaners and toy wipes will also suffice. Unfortunately, the toy cannot be sanitized by boiling or bleachng. It also isn't a great idea to put the toy in a dishwasher as the high temperatures could melt the TPR and plastic materials. The smooth, slick surface causes any fluids or lubes to quickly wash away. Before storing the toy, I suggest removing the batteries or else the vibe could drain them. If sharing or using the toy for anal and vaginal use, use a condom/toy cover so that everyone and everything stays safe.

Packaging

Even though the packaging was minimal, I was quite pleased when this toy arrived. First of all, the toy was packaged in a plastic tube instead of a plastic box. It is always nice to see a change. The outside also matched the color of my toy. It is covered in pretty shades of blue, and it has feminine writing and drawings of leaves/flowers. The front gives you a view of the toy via a clear window. This isn't discreet, but it isn't crude either. I was pleasantly surprised to find out how much information the packaging had. Between the front and the back, you will find out everything you need to know about this toy. The toy is held inside by a plastic mold that snaps together on the sides. I kept this to store the toy in. Once it breaks, I will settle for a Ziploc bag.
