Le Reve Bullet - bullet discontinued by Pipedream - review by Alicia

Le reve devient realite translates to "the dream come true", is what this bullet is for me. I have been on the hunt for the perfectly discreet bullet. Something so quiet that I could use without others knowing, but still be powerful enough to bring me to a climax on its own. I have found ones that are small but too loud, or not powerful enough, and then ones that are quiet and powerful but had long cords or were otherwise too bulky to be discreet. Enter Le Reve, a multispeed bullet from Pipedream that is made out of a hard plastic and is waterproof for fun both in and out of the water. The Le Reve offers everything I was looking for in an elegant little bullet.

Le Reve's button is a very sturdy well made button. When you press it to turn it on you can feel it click with each press. It's rubberized to ensure no water gets into the bullet. The vibrations that the Le Reve offers are also deep but almost completely silent. I was actually shocked at what the bullet could offer with such little noise. The vibrations are powerful and they're a very deep vibration. They're not overly buzzy which makes the Le Reve easy to hold onto while still giving powerful vibrations where they're needed. I'm a fan of strong vibrations. Soft, gentle vibrations rarely do anything but act as a warm up. That being said, I was able to climax with the Le Reve on low. That's just about unheard of for me and any kind of toy. I almost always have to have my toys on at least medium, if not high. But with the Le Reve the vibrations were so deep that I didn't need the highest setting. That's not to say that I didn't like the medium and high, I did and in the experience section below I'll explain why.

Have I mentioned how quiet this bullet is?? It was actually so silent that it got accidentally turned on and I didn't notice. I unfortunately did not notice for HOURS and I actually burnt out the set of batteries that it came with on the very first day that I had my new bullet. It had fallen off my coffee table onto the floor and apparently had turned on in the process. It was so quiet that the carpet completely muffled its sound. I found it later and when I went to turn it on there was nothing, which is when I realized what must have happened. I bought new batteries and it works just as well as it did before. There's no way for me to know how long the batteries lasted before they died, as it was about 2pm when I last saw it on the coffee table and it was about 8pm when I saw it laying on the floor.

There were only two things that I less than loved about the Le Reve. One, watch batteries are expensive to replace if you're not going to order online. When my batteries died and I needed to replace them ASAP I had to buy them from the local store and it cost $5.99 for three of them. That's a lot to power a single toy. (Especially if I accidentally leave it on again...I'll have to be really careful not to!) If you order online though, they're about $5.00 for 10 and some sites offer free shipping with that price. So as long as you plan ahead, it's not a big deal. Also, I think Le Reve could be just a tiny bit better if it had a vibration patterns. The steady vibrations are wonderful and they're certainly not lacking in any way, but I think the Le Reve could have a little more versatility to prevent boredom in the long run if it had pulsation patterns. That being said, it does very well on its own without them.

After my first orgasm with Le Reve, I didn't want to stop. I was able to have another shortly after the first with it still being on low. As I had more and more orgasms though, I would then need a bit more power each time. That's when the three speed options were really nice. Once I had desensitized myself silly with the low I'd move to the medium and then eventually the high. This is something I can't do with a single speed vibe or bullet. The three speeds on Le Reve give me the option to just have a quick release or to take my time and work my way through a series of orgasms.

Le Reve is also great for using during couple time as it's small enough to be placed between my husband and me. This is another time that I was grateful for its small size without cords. It's a lot nicer to just turn on this bullet and place it between us and not also have to deal with cords around. Having a corded bullet with a power pak is easier to change settings on during sex than something like Le Reve. The low setting is a good setting for me for most purposes though, and I just left it on low and didn't fumble with it at all. Again, the quiet was nice for this usage as well, since it didn't distract us from each other. Really makes me want two of these so that I can keep one downstairs for the impromptu solo sessions and then another upstairs in the bedside table drawer for couple time.

I still like my Le Reve bullet, though it does burn through batteries rather quickly. I get maybe three uses out of it (for about maybe 10 minutes each time) before it dies. Since it uses watch batteries this can get a bit annoying since those batteries tend to be more expensive. I have found a place to order them online though in bulk, and since almost all bullets take watch batteries it's a worthwhile investment!

I continue to buy batteries for it because this is an extremely quiet and pretty powerful bullet and the small shape is perfect for situations that require discretion and/or something that won't get in the way between my husband and I.
