No Tears Here... Until The Battery Died!

The Teardrop is a fantastic basic toy with a unique design and plenty of appealing features. It's small enough to go anywhere, and powerful enough to do the job once it gets there!

Use

One of the things I like best about the Teardrop is its versatility. It's ideal for solo and partner play, particularly when you're in the mood for some teasing and don't want to skip right to the orgasm! This toy is waterproof and therefore tub-friendly. Its vibrations are strong enough that they aren't muted, even underwater.

I've used the Teardrop primarily as a clitoral stimulator, but have also played around with using it internally and on my partner's perineum (with great success). As a clitoral vibrator, this bullet is by far one of my favorites: it's conveniently sized and easy to use, not to mention the vibrations, which range from a pleasant tease at the lowest setting to an out-of-this-world hum at the highest.

This range really makes the Teardrop suitable for anyone: it's small and gentle enough at the lower settings for those who prefer light vibrations to enjoy, but it still packs plenty of punch at the highest setting for those who like more intense stimulation. I have yet to have any trouble reaching orgasm with this toy.

Material / Texture

The Teardrop is made entirely of phthalates-free, hypo-allergenic plastic. In addition to possessing a pleasingly smooth feel, this toy has no taste or scent whatsoever. It is quite small, and the texture (or lack thereof) makes it a little difficult to grip, particularly when wet. The bullet itself is firm and has a nice weight to it.

Design / Shape / Size

I find this toy very appealing to the eye. The pretty pink color and smooth texture give it a clean look, and better yet, the toy's design contributes great versatility and usability. The bullet's unique shape makes all sorts of stimulation possible, and the remote fits comfortably in the hand and is extremely user-friendly-- even in the heat of the moment! The cord is long enough (approximately 24") to allow the Teardrop to be used just about any way you like.

The Teardrop is conveniently sized and can be tucked away in a drawer or any small space, but it's not necessarily discreet-looking. Its purpose is fairly obvious when looking at it. That said, it's small enough to travel well and the plastic material doesn't require special handling.

Functions / Performance / Controls

Truth be told, I'm not normally a fan of bullet vibrators. I wrote them off as being "for beginners," and went right for what I perceived to be the "big girl toys." That said, the Teardrop has made a convert out of me.

First, and most importantly, this toy has incredibly strong vibrations -- and not just for its size. The vibrations are strong, period. They are concentrated at the tip of the bullet, but transmit nicely all over the surface. The vibration controls are a snap: "up" and "down" arrows allow the user to select any one of four settings, which gradually increase in intensity. There is no particular pattern, only a steady, strong vibration. Even the lowest setting is probably on the strong side for the "light vibrations" crowd, while the highest setting never fails to take me exactly where I want to go.

Powerful toys can be noisy, and the Teardrop is no exception. It's fairly discreet at the lower settings, but at the highest setting it can be heard through a closed door, even if it's under the covers. If you're really concerned about the volume, I've found that running some other kind of "white noise" (such as a fan or the TV) mutes the Teardrop's sound nicely.

I tend to be skeptical of waterproof toys, having ruined quite a few that were supposedly tub-safe, but the Teardrop stood up to every test. Even after being fully immersed and running for a solid ten minutes, the bullet was still going strong. Another plus: immersion drastically decreases this toy's noise level (though not its power).

Care and Maintenance

Since the Teardrop is made of easy-care plastic, warm water and antibacterial soap (or toy cleaner) are all that's necessary to clean it up. If you're planning to share, the Teardrop is easily disinfected with rubbing alcohol. This toy is compatible with any type of lubricant.

Regarding battery life: the AAA batteries ran strong until the end, which came all too soon (less than a week after the toy arrived). Unfortunately, their demise was sudden and swift. The toy was running normally, stopped suddenly, started up again, turned off again, and then couldn't be turned back on. In fairness, I used the Teardrop pretty extensively during the testing phase, so I would expect the batteries to last longer with "normal" use.

Packaging

The Teardrop is packaged in a plastic box, durable enough to be kept for storage of the toy. No instructions are included, but the Teardrop is extremely intuitively designed: slide the batteries in, and press the "up" arrow!

Follow-up commentary
After a month, the Teardrop is still enjoying its status as one of my go-to toys. It's on top of my list (and beats out the rest of my bullet vibrators) because it has the convenience of being waterproof, the vibrations are impressively strong for a toy of this size, and the uniquely-shaped bullet really does the job for me. And, okay, it doesn't hurt that this toy is adorable.

It's worthy of note that I've used this toy in the water countless times, including complete submersion for 20-30 minutes, and it has shown absolutely no ill effects. Many toys claim to be "waterproof"; this one actually stands up to the test. If you're looking for something that can stand up to serious water play, the Teardrop is your toy.

The Teardrop is seeing more "ordinary" use now that the initial testing phase is over and done with, so I'll report back on the battery life.
