Stunner - vibrator by Evolved Novelties - review by Red

Evolved's Stunner comes packaged in a tasteful and stylish tin, a welcome divergence from the standard plastic bag or molded plastic type packaging vibrators in its price range usually employ. Although the tin is just a bonus, it is a welcome one – it's high quality, does up tightly with small snap on locks on its ends, and will make a very convenient way of neatly corralling part or all of a sex toy collection. The Stunner itself is apt to pick up hairs, dust and assorted fuzzies, so the tin is also a welcome addition in regards to keeping the toy clean and ready for play while being stored away in a bedside drawer.

The Stunner is made from body safe (phthalates free) TPR in a gorgeous aquamarine color. The base of the toy is made from hard plastic with a velvety coating, and this base ever so gently tapers down to a small push button for controlling the power of the Stunner's vibrations. The insertable body of the toy is long and slender – 6.5” by 1.25”. The TPR shaft features a series of bumps in the pattern of a ball followed by three ridges – repeated four times. The TPR material is smooth, but does have a tendency to pick up fuzz and lint. It also imparts a decent degree of friction when rubbed against skin, so be sure to use a hearty amount of lube – both water based and silicone based lubes are safe to use with this toy.

Cleanup of this toy is as simple as using some soap and warm water, or a gentle antibacterial toy cleanser. The ridges in the texture of the shaft will require a bit of care during cleaning to ensure all cracks and crevices – although easily clean-able – are, in fact, cleaned. And do take note – this toy has no flared base, so it cannot be used an an anal vibe, although using it to tickle the outside of the anus is certainly allowed. TPR cannot be sterilized, so do be sure to use condoms if sharing this toy (or using it to tickle your anus!).

The Stunner takes two AAA batteries in a small battery shuttle contained in the base of the toy. The battery compartment is backed up with an o-ring, making the Stunner waterproof and able to entertain in aquatic environments. The center of vibrations on the toy is all the way at the end of the shaft, and is attached to the battery compartment via a flexible tube-o-wires contained within the length of the shaft. The Stunner thus has flexibility that can be employed during penetration, making it adaptable to your inner lines and curves. This flexibility is not extreme enough to give the toy a permanent kink or bend, and if it is bent too severely it will likely break, but it is nice to have a toy that adapts to YOU, not a stiff vibe that makes you adapt to it.

The Stunner features three simple vibration settings – low, medium and high – which can be cycled through by pushing the button on the bottom of the base. The TPR material in the shaft transmits vibrations quite well, dispersing the rumbles almost the whole way down the shaft with ease. The vibrations are strong, but definitely concentrated in the end of the toy. This is a tad disappointing because it doesn't feel all that amazing when fully inserted, and when the toy is inserted a bit shallower the flexibility and wobble make it a little difficult to wield precisely. It's also hard to use as a clitoral stimulator for the same reason – it's just not built for that type of precision.

The Stunner has failed to win me over. In fact, I like it less than I did when I first reviewed it. I find it far too hard to focus the vibrations onto my clit; as the shaft is too flexible, and it's just too slim and straight to be any sort of exciting. Moreover, I just plain don't like the see-through material used in this toy. When it gets a bit "aged", it starts to just look cheap and lackluster.
