Stunner - traditional vibrator by Evolved Novelties - review by Alicia

The Stunner is from Evolved's "Slenders" collection, and is a hygienic medical grade TPR vibrator. Stunner has a little bit of girth, a little bit of texture but a whole lot of power. It's extremely flexible, phthalates free, and waterproof. I have the blue one; it's a bright blue, almost gem like color. What's not to love about this vibe??

First things first, let's talk size. Stunner is pretty lengthy, it can reach pretty deep, but since it's squishy, it's forgiving and doesn't ram against you if you thrust too far. Thing is though, that Stunner is pretty thin, hence being part of the Slenders collection. It has a 1 1/4 inch diameter with a 4 inch circumference. Probably pretty perfect for a beginner, for someone a bit more experienced it might feel a bit lacking. Personally though, sometimes I'm not in the mood for something with a lot of girth. There are times that I like mainly clitoral stimulation with just a bit of vaginal stimulation thrown in.

As for the material this TPR is squishy yet firm. It's so flexible that you can just about bend Stunner into a 95 degree angle. Be careful though, the battery compartment comes up into the base of the shaft. Since the material is thinner at that point, if it is bent at extreme angles it looks so thin that it would break through. This hasn't happened, but it does look possible, so take it easy and don't try to turn Stunner into a contortionist! There is a slight amount of drag to the TPR, but a tiny bit of lube takes care of that with ease. It's not sticky or anything and it has a slight smell at first, but it's nothing unpleasant. TPR is still somewhat porous and can't be sterilized, so please be sure to use a condom if you're sharing between partners.

Now let's talk texture. Stunner is well, stunning to look at. There is a mixture of bubbles and ribs up and down the entire shaft. They are noticeable when used but are pretty subtle. Unlike some textured toys, I don't need to warm up before using this one because of the size. Yet another time that the slenderness has come in as a pro and not a con. When sliding the Stunner in and out you can feel the changes in texture, but at no time was it ever uncomfortable and it slides extremely easily; the texture is pretty subtle. If you are a big fan of extreme texture this one might not do it for you.

And finally, we have performance. The Stunner might be thin and subtle in the texture area, but when it comes to power the Stunner comes prepared to knock your socks off. Stunner only takes 2 AAA batteries, which are held in their own little battery case that slides into the battery compartment when ready for play. I love that feature and I wish more toys were like that. It makes it much easier to have the batteries ready to go when needed. For only taking 2 AAA, the Stunner is pretty damn powerful. There are three levels, all steady vibrations. No patterns or anything, the Stunner is pretty simple and just gets straight to the point. All of the levels are extremely quiet too, which is awesome! On the highest setting the Stunner would be able to bring me to clitoral climax through a pair of light pajama pants, that's how intense it is. Thing is though, that these vibrations are really only felt at the head, which makes it great for clitoral stimulation, but it kind of fell short on the vibrations end when used vaginally. I didn't mind though, as I kind of went back and forth, some clitoral vibration with the head and then dipping it down and in for some texture fun, then back to the clit again. Lather, Rinse, Repeat. However you decide to use Stunner, please don't try it vaginally. It is rather thin, has no flared base, and long, you're really just asking for trouble using this anally.

Now that we know how awesome Stunner is, let's talk about how to care for your new friend. Since Stunner is made out of TPR, you should only use water based lubricants. I recommend cleaning the toy before and after use, using a mild soap and water or a toy cleaner. Stunner picks up lint, hair, dust because of the nature of the material. Washing it before use ensures you have a clean toy each and every time. You can also keep it in the beautiful keepsake tin that it comes packaged in, which will help keep it clean and lint free.

I found that my favorite way to use Stunner is to use the flexibility of it to my advantage, by swirling it around as it vibrated against my clit. I kept pressure on it, but just kind of swirled it, which added a slightly different sensation and brought me to orgasm pretty quickly. To make the fun last longer I found that alternating this with some vaginal stimulation kept me aroused, but didn't bring me to orgasm as quickly. I love when toys can be so versatile that they can be good for a quick release or can be worked to allow for a longer play time.

Stunner is also great for foreplay, since it is thin enough that it can act as a warm up for sex. Not to mention that since it's water proof you can use it wherever your foreplay takes you.

I still like the Stunner, though it doesn't get used too often. For me it's just a bit too thin. It's held up well, and I haven't noticed any clouding of the TPR, which is something I have had trouble with on a different Evolved vibe. This one though, looks good as new. I would recommend this to beginners because it's a great quality vibrator at an inexpensive price and it's not too large.
