Not Exactly User-Friendly

I was really disappointed with this toy. I can usually find several nice things to say about a vibrator but found myself searching for something positive about the Unity. It will look really beautiful sitting in its case, but you won't want to take it out to use all that often.
Comes in re-usable metal case, pretty, velvety texture.
Uses AAA batteries, not very strong vibrations, not easy to use.

The shape of this toy suggests it would be best used as an internal vaginal vibrator. It tapers so I don't recommend this for anal use, as you could lose it inside of your bottom! Because it is so long it doesn't really work as a clitoral stimulator unless you're sitting with your legs open. As someone who mostly masturbates laying on their stomach I found this toy really, really frustrating to use. I won't say this was awful, but it definitely didn't do it for me.

This toy is waterproof, making it pretty good for shower use. I never submerge my toys, but it had no problem under the shower water.

Material / Texture

This toy is made of plastic so it is odorless, which is a plus. It is a little velvety to the touch which is nice if you store your toys in baggies, as silicone can be tacky and a little hard to put in and out of baggies, you won't have that problem with this toy. The texture of this toy was one of the few things I really liked about it. It is, however, more porous than silicone. You should use a condom on this toy if you plan on sharing or using it anal (which as I stated before, I do not recommend due to the design!)
    • No odor
    • Smooth
    • Somewhat porous

Design / Shape / Size

This toy has a wavy-like design, which I anticipated would add quite a bit to the toy for thrusting but I did not find this to be the case. It looks much cooler than it is functional. Maybe ridges would have worked a little better?

Battery insertion was difficult in that you have to push the batteries in so hard you'll worry you might break it in order to get them in far enough for the top to go back on. I actually needed help from my boyfriend to get the batteries in.

Size-wise the Unity is thin and long. Because of its length it is not very convenient for clitoral use. The size works okay for beginners but the placement of the buttons being in the middle negate its user-friendliness.

In terms of size it would travel pretty well. It comes with a case, making it less likely to turn on randomly (though you could just as easily remove the batteries).

Functions / Performance / Controls

The Unity has two ends, one of which vibrates with different pulses and the other has continuous vibrations on a light, medium, and strong settings. However, where the buttons are placed you have to pull the toy out to adjust. The buttons don't stick out much, making it so they do not get in the way of insertion but you can't really feel where the buttons are in the heat of the moment, so you have to stop using the toy for a moment to adjust it, which I found to be a bit of a turn off and making the toy not great for anyone who may have to turn the toy off suddenly (roommate, etc.) You also have to go though every setting to turn the toy off, so if you're going for discreet, this is not the toy for you.

The Unity is loud as all hell. I could not use it in my dorm room because other people could probably hear it in the room over. The vibrations were okay but definitely did not warrant the noise coming from it! I am someone who usually can use a toy on the medium setting and needed this toy on its strongest setting. If you're someone who likes strong vibrations this toy will not hit the spot.

Care and Maintenance

This toy comes with a metal case with squishy padding in the shape of the toy to keep it in place. The case would protect the toy pretty well in travel. The case is probably the best part of this toy, which says quite a bit. I keep this toy in its case for the most-part, as it is pretty convenient.

This toy is plastic so it can be used with any kind of lubricant. It does not need to be kept away from other toys, either.

I wash this toy with soap and water before and after use.
    • Easy to clean
    • Easy to store

As mentioned, this toy comes in a pretty spiffy case. Sadly, mine is in the case more than it is out.

There isn't a ton of information on the toy's packaging, but it does look cool.
    • Good for storage

Personal comments

I am not a super picky person but I really did not enjoy the time. Almost every time I go to use it I get frustrated within 5 minutes and switch to something else. It is pretty but nicer to look at than to use. It is one of the least user-friendly toys I've ever used. It is probably called the Unity because it requires several people to operate.

I usually only end up using this toy for a few minutes. It is extremely loud, even under a blanket, which is very distracting. I found it to be better to use in the shower, as it is waterproof and that made me a little less anxious about the noise, but the design itself still didn't really do it for me.
