Petite egg and controller by Doc Johnson - review by ~LaUr3n~

Doc Johnson's Petite Egg and Controller may have petite in the name, but I find the size to be quite perfect for me. I've never been a fan of inserting bullets for various reasons, but this one is actually a nice size for it. I still prefer to use bullets externally, and the same goes for this one, but it's a good all around use bullet. The power is above average, but buzzy and not earth shattering. It's easy to use and affordably priced, but I'm not exactly sure how long it will last since the construction feel fairly cheap. Bullets are excellent couples toys so use it alone or with a partner.

The Petite Egg is made of ABS plastic. ABS plastic is a fairly safe material since it is non-porous. However, this bullet has a metallic finish which makes the surface slightly less safe. It's also a good idea to keep an eyes on the finish for wear and or flaking. When it's new, the coating is smooth and silky, but it may not stay that way. While plastic is non-porous and free of other harmful chemicals materials like jelly has, it cannot be sterilized, so make sure you use a condom if you're sharing. This material is rigid with no flex. It has no taste or smell.

The Petite Bullet is a corded bullet. This means that the controls are in a separate pack that connects to the bullet with a cord. The design is pretty typical of earlier bullets and cheaper ones too.

It's shaped like a small egg, hence the name. It's 1 1/4" in diameter, and about 3 3/4" in circumference. This is a very moderate size and smaller than most egg bullets. It's 1 3/4" long. There is a seam in the middle of the egg but it isn't that noticeable internally.



The bullet attaches to a thin wire that is 27" long. Thankfully, this is an adequate length. I've found that 2 feet and longer is pretty good. The controller is also a standard size, like a really small remote for a cd player or something of the sort. The back pushes open so two AA battery can be pressed in.

This toy is not waterproof and it isn't discreet.

The power is controlled by a turn dial that has notches in it for easier turning. The dial controls the variable power. It sort of gradually gets more intense, but as with most cheaper toys like this, there really are more like set levels and they seem to change every time you turn the dial!`

The level of vibration starts off already more than moderate and is likely enough for the average woman. The vibrations are buzzy as is what to be expected from a toy of this price and material. The vibrations reach a high level at the end of the dial's turn. The noise level is high and this toy can be heard through a door even on the lowest level...unless it is inserted inside the body.

For my sometimes sensitive clit, the highest level of vibration is too much. I prefer to use this about 2/3 of the way trough the turn of the dial.

Plastic is very easy to care for. It can be sued with silicone or water based lubricant and the bullet can easily be wiped down or water with a damp cloth and toy cleaner or anti-bacterial soap. Do not wash the controller! When storing, let this dry, and then put it back in the package. Remove the batteries first.

The packaging is very simple. It comes in a small plastic bow with a tray inside. Te toy and controller sit in the tray. No batteries are included. The packaging shows the toy clearly, so it is not discreet. Minimal information is provided on the back of the package. It works well for storage.

I would never pay full price for this item. I don't think it's worth that much. It's more than worth the $4 I paid for it. If you can get it on sale (even just 20% or so) it's worth it. Otherwise, there are better options for the same full price.

This bullet isn't as powerful as I expected, but I'd rate it a 3.5 out of 5 vrooms. The noise level is high, though. Part of the appeal of having a bullet is that it is discreet, but the noise makes it harder to use in close quarters.

The easiest way to insert this is with a condom over it. That way, you pull the condom to get it out, not the wire. NEVER insert this in your rump. However, it is great for all over usage, under the penis head, clit, etc. It's a good couples toy since there really are no rules about what body parts it can't be used on. The size is not at all uncomfortable. For those who like to insert bullets, this one might feel small, but for me, someone who doesn't like large bullets inserted, this is a great size and the power feels good nestled against my g-spot. I can't finish from this internally, but I can when it is used on my clit. That's its best use in my opinion, but I have much better bullets for that.

Because of all that, it doesn't have a permanent place in my collection, but I'd recommend it to someone looking for a moderate sized bullet with a good amount of power and under $15 price.
