So, What's Your Sign?

The Astrovibes Aquarius is a simple traditional vibrator from Fun Factory with a nice wavy blue design. It's made of smooth silicone with little texture coming from the wavy stripes. It is powerful but can also be used on a low setting.

Use

Fun Factory came out with a unique line of vibrators called Astrovibes. While I'm actually a Taurus, I tend to identify more with Aquarius and saw this vibe to be a great adition to my collection.

I find this toy works best for vaginal penetration. The vibrations don't quite reach the tip so it is not the best for cliteral fun. It should also not be used anally because it has no flaired base. It is also not waterproof so don't take it in the shower with you.

Material / Texture

The Aquarius like all others in this line is made of 100 percent silicone so do not use silicone based lube with it. Silicone is very body safe, and not porous at all. The material is very soft, flexible, and velvety to the touch.

I like this vibe because the texture is not overwhelming. I've only used smooth toys before this so this was a great introduction to textured material. The material has a lot of drag so it will pick up a lot of lint and pet hair, but it also becomes nice and slick when lube is applied to it. Running the entire length of the shaft are slightly raised wavy lines to symbolize the Aquarius. There are nine wavy strips spread evenly around the shaft. This texture feels very nice when doing a gentle twisting motion.
    • No odor
    • Not porous at all
    • Slightly sticky

Design / Shape / Size

The design of this vibrator is a typical traditional shape that comes to a nice rounded tip for easy insertion. I find the blue wavy design gives it a nice visual appeal. The vibrator itself is quite large. It is 8 inches in length, 7 inches insertable, and a circumference of 5 so a good amount of water based lube will help ease penetration. The Aquarius has a large girth so I wouldn't recommend it for a beginner. If you were to leave it out I think most people would know what it is since the design is not very discreet.
    • Whimsical / artistic

Functions / Performance / Controls

The Aquarius is controlled by a turn dial at the base. It starts off with nice medium vibrations and gradually gets stronger the more you turn the dial. Just turn it the opposite way and this will turn the vibe back off. The dial is very easy to turn, I can even operate it with one finger and this makes it more prone to be moved accidentally from your favorite setting. I think the vibrations are quite rumbly and can easily be heard through a closed door.

The motor is located near the center of the vibe so the vibrations slightly diminish towards the tip. If the motor was located closer to the tip it would be a better g-spot toy. It is operated by two AA batteries that you place in the base. The battery cap is easy to twist off and the batteries fit in with one pointed down and the other pointed up. It would be a good idea to keep your batteries separate from the toy when not in use.
    • Not very discreet

Care and Maintenance

You'll want to keep this toy away from places where it can catch lint and other annoying particles. It also can't be stored with other toys otherwise they might melt into one another, creating oddly shaped toys. It would be good to wash it before and after each use. Since it's not waterproof I prefer to use a damp cloth to wipe it down instead of wash it under running water. To sterilize it you can use a 10 percent bleach solution.
    • Easy to clean
    • Easy to store

Packaging

On the front of the package, you can see your toy through a plastic window. The back contains information flaps in many different languages and it allows you to get familiar with Fun Factory toys. Upon opening it, I didn't notice any odors at all. Inside the package you will find your toy, a free sample of Fun Factory's Toy Fluid, a guide of all of Fun Factory's toys, and an instruction booklet. The lube contains some glycerine so avoid it if you think you might be sensitive to it. You can use the package as a storage compartment, but I recycled mine instead.

Experience

This vibe is quite firm but still has a little bit of flexibility near the tip. When inserted it curves nicely with my shape without being to pokey like plastic vibrators. It's not a great thrusting toy because the girth is rather large but the wavy strips feel nice with a twisting motion.
Follow-up commentary
I don't really use this anymore because the shape is quite boring, and the vibrations can be a bit better. I won't be throwing it out for a while because I do still bring it out from time to time. It's more of a warm up toy than something I can get myself off with.
