A favorite 'sexcessory' of mine, the chic Studio Collection Vibrating Lipstick by Screaming O works wonders on various parts of the body and can be used in several different ways. Intended for clitoral stimulation, it can be held directly to your sweet spot and left stationary (especially on the fourth setting, "Tease") or rubbed, pressed or tapped gently. The flat, slanted tip provides the strongest, most focused vibrations, so press it against your clitoris for a wild ride. The silicone Flex-Tip glides well over your girly parts, and even better with the aid of a little lube. Be sure to use water-based lube, as silicone lube is not compatible with silicone toys.

For partner play, you can hold the vibe to your clitoris while you are being entered from behind, which is great fun. It can also be used for a bit of teasing foreplay if you run it along your partner's body or erogenous zones on any of the first three (continuous) settings.

When the cap is replaced on the Vibrating Lipstick, it doubles as a large bullet vibe, and is just as strong. It can be used for shallow vaginal insertion this way, though I tend not to do this myself.

It is marketed as waterproof, so you can use it in the bath or shower, though I would not recommend doing this. The reason for my hesitation is because the first Vibrating Lipstick I bought was used once in the tub before the power and speed control button cover came unglued, allowing water into the vibe. The warm water dissolved the adhesive keeping the cover attached, and once water got in, it was all over. I contacted Screaming O, and they happily replaced the toy, but I am keeping it away from water the second time around.

Although discreet, it is a tad loud to be used in public areas. It cannot be heard through walls or a closed door, but will be heard in the same room unless music is playing. It’s not entirely travel friendly, as it cannot be locked and has gone off accidentally in my purse.

It’s not safe for anal use, as it does not have a flared base. Please do not attempt to use anally.

The Studio Collection Vibrating Lipstick's base and cap are made of plastic. The Flex-Tip is made of silicone. This means you can only use water-based lube. Silicone-based lube will damage the toy.

The silicone tip of the toy is silky smooth and slightly flexible. It has a light odor, but it is a clean smell, and I don't notice it at all during use. It is tasteless. It has no texture, and I believe it will work well for nearly everyone. Silicone is non-porous.

When the cap is replaced, the toy is smooth but hard. The plastic is odorless and tasteless. Plastic is non-porous and phthalate-free.

The attractive, discreet design of the Vibrating Lipstick called out to me, and is a good part of why I bought it. While some lipstick vibes are cheap and fake-looking, this one could pass for the real thing! The studio collection is designed to look like high-end cosmetics, and definitely pass the test. It is a bit larger than the typical lipstick, but not unbelievably so. However, it does say "Screaming O" on it. This may give it away if noticed, though when sitting on a table it looks like a regular brand name. There is a power symbol on the bottom as well, though it doesn't stand out. My family and friends don't question me when the toy is sitting out. It looks like the rest of my makeup. It’s very easy to hide.

The shape of the flat, angled silicone Flex-Tip feels awesome on my clitoris and glides well with or without lube. It is flexible, but firm enough to put pressure on. I wouldn't change a thing. It works very well for me.

The very tip of my plastic cap has a sharp bump on it that may be painful or uncomfortable if used on the clitoris or any other sensitive areas, although using the toy with the cap on is advertised as a feature. This is a small flaw. The plastic cap and base are a bit too rigid and hard to be used between two partners during intercourse without causing discomfort.
It is powerful for its size, and still manages to be small and manageable. It does not slip and slide when wet. However, the button is hard to press without using some force or a fingernail, which may become an issue when you are in the heat of the moment. The size of the toy would work well for beginners, because it is not intimidating and large.

I question the extent to which it is waterproof, since the adhesive holding the button cover on has previously dissolved in warm water, exposing the toy to water and bringing it to an untimely end. This is a serious design flaw.

For something they intend for you to carry around and use in public areas, it is not only a tad loud, but not travel-friendly. It cannot lock, which is a disappointment to me. I would carry it around anyway, but it has previously turned on accidentally in my purse! To avoid embarrassment, leave it at home.

The Vibrating Lipstick is powerful, especially for the size! The vibrations are strongest in the tip, but vibrate through the whole toy, even with the cap on. It may make your hand numb after a while, but never your sensitive parts. It falls somewhere between rumbly and buzzy. The vibrations are fairly deep, but fast. Not as rumbly as some of my luxury toys, but not as buzzy as a lot of the cheap ones.

My favorite setting is the "Tease" mode. It is unlike any I have experienced with other toys. Instead of a predicable programmed pulsation, it is seemingly random, and I never know what to expect next. Fading from high to low, pulsating, and even stopping completely keeps me on my toes. Aside from that, there are the other three settings, gradually increasing steady vibrations, to keep you going. High was very strong, and was almost too much for me. It can feel almost pinchy when it gets to the highest speed. It should be strong enough to get almost everyone off.

The controls are easy to find, but not always easy to use. It requires a little force or a fingernail to change settings.

I would give the noise level two bees. It is not loud enough to be heard through walls or a closed door, but certainly loud enough to be heard in the same room, or in a public place. It’s not loud enough to distract me during use. It’s quite like white noise.

It may not be waterproof, although it is advertised as such. Mine broke with its first use in the tub, but was quickly replaced by Screaming O. I would recommend keeping it dry, but it's up to you whether to risk it or not.

The Vibrating Lipstick is easy to care for and to clean. I store it in a satin drawstring toy pouch with the lid on. The silicone Flex-Tip is only compatible with water-based lubes. Again, silicone lube damages silicone toys. It can be cleaned with soap and water or toy-cleansing spray. Do not boil, it will ruin the toy.

The packaging for this toy is not discreet. It says what it is on the front and has a clear view of the product inside. It is classy looking, but not really reusable. It is a cardboard box with a blister package inside. It’s a little difficult to open. However, it did come with two sets of batteries, which I have not had to switch out yet!

Strong enough to get me off every time, and discreet enough to leave lying on the table. A beautiful combination! A great 'sexcessory' in the perfect shade.
