G-spot vibrator discontinued

The Wave that Started the Tsunami

This is a nice sized silicone vibrator with a slight curve to hit the G-spot. It’s generous size means it is more for an experienced user unless you know you like larger toys. The deep rumbly vibrations, and wavy shape make the Wonder Water an absolute pleasure to use.

Use

The Wonder Water from Joy Division is a G-spot vibrator with an interesting wavy shape that actually feels good during use. You can use it on the clitoris if you find you prefer deep, rumbly vibrations. It’s a larger sized toy so it will give you a full feeling, or nice broad coverage, depending on how you use it. I wouldn’t use it anally unless you have a partner to keep a good grip on it. Even though it has water in the name, this beauty is not waterproof, so unfortunately you can’t bring it in the shower or tub with you.

Material / Texture

The shaft of the Wonder Water is made of silicone, and the battery cap and turn dial knob are made of plastic. The cap and turn dial have nice rough grooves to help get a good grip, even with lubed hands. The middle of the shaft bends, but it is not very flexible. You can still get firm pressure and nice thrusting action with this toy. The shaft has slightly raised bulges in a wavy design, but it can’t really be felt during use. There are also no noticeable seams to worry about which is nice.

Design / Shape / Size

The wavy design is what makes this toy very comfortable to use. It has a very slight curve, which some people may find to not be curved enough to stimulate the G-spot as much as they’d like. The head is 5” in circumference, but it tapers down to 4 ½” in the middle, so it gives a nice full feeling, but not stretched out. The area around the base of the shaft, that covers the battery compartment is 5 ½” in circumference, but this part can’t really be inserted. It makes for a nice handle to grip onto though. It is 7 7/8” in total, with 6 ½” insertable. Even though it is 6.5 inches insertable, it is unlikely you are going to need all that length. This isn’t a toy meant for beginners, unless you know a lot of girth is what works for you.

Functions / Performance / Controls

The Wonder Water is super quiet, and will definitely not be heard through a closed door. It is operated by a turn dial at the base, and there seems to be about 5 discernable vibration levels. There are no fancy pulsation and pattern modes, but sometimes all we need is a simple vibration to get the job done. The turn dial can be a little difficult to turn, but this means it won’t accidentally change on you during use.

It runs on two AA batteries, not included. Twist off the cap, and they sit side by side, one pointy side up, and the other pointy side down. To prevent carrotion, and to prolong the life of the batteries, I recommend storing them separately when the toy is not being used.

Care and Maintenance

You can clean the Wonder Water with warm water and soap or toy cleaner, just be careful not to get the area around the battery compartment wet. Silicone is non-porous, so it can be sterilized with a 10 per cent bleech solution if you are sharing. It can’t be boiled because of the electrical components inside.

The silicone material will pick up some lint and hair, so you should wash it before and after each use. As always, don’t use silicone lube with silicone toys, only stick to water based.

Packaging

The Wonder Water comes packaged in a flimsy cardboard box which is open on either side to show off the toy. The vibrator itself is encased in a plastic insert, so it is not discreet, but all you have to do is wrap it up if you want to give it as a gift. Included is a little catalogue of Joy Division’s interesting products.

It also comes with a little packet of lube, and a larger 50 ml tube of Aqua Glide lubricant which is water based. The lube inside of my packet was dried up and sticky, but the tube was fine. The ingredients are: Aqua, Glycerin, Hydroxyethylcellulose, Sodium Methylparaben. Some people have reactions to glycerine and parabens, so do a spot test on the inside of your wrist to make sure you don’t have any irritation from the lube.

Experience

When I pulled the toy out of the package, I was almost positive it wouldn’t work for me. I prefer toys with a pronounced head, not a pointed tip. TO my surprise the Wonder Water worked perfectly for me. I tried it over and over again to make sure it wasn’t a fluke. This little wavy monster has found a permanent home in my bedside table.
Follow-up commentary
This is a wonderful toy. Paired up with a clitoral vibrator makes for a fantastic experience. I always know I'm going to have a good time when I pull this toy out.
