G-spot vibrator discontinued
by JoyDivision

A lot of waves for only a little splash.

When I saw pictures of this baby on EF, I was deliciously excited. Sadly, once getting past the crappy packaging and unveiling the toy within, I was left disappointed and longing for an actual toy that could get me wet and finish me off, since the Wonder Water left me with barely a splash.

Use

The Wonder Water is best suited for vaginal use, aiming for G-spot stimulation; or perhaps external clitoral stimulation, as there are two bullets. The two bullets have some nice (albeit annoyingly buzzy, if you're prone to going numb) vibrations throughout the entire shaft. I found them to be too "fluttery", for lack of better words. It wasn't deep or thrummy enough, so after only a few minutes of use I found my nethers going numb. Sadly, numb girly-bits are not conducive to mind-blowing orgasms. I might just not have a G-spot, who knows. If I do, though, this baby didn't find it.

The shape of this does allow for some very direct vibrations, however if you are prone to sensitivity, this may just make you go numb. Turn it to the side and slide the shaft around the clitoris, or use more of the wide shape of the tip for a less centralized buzz.

I would imagine this toy being ideal for the beginner-intermediate player, as its general shape makes it not very intimidating, but still able to be overall pleasing.

Material / Texture

I loved the feel of this, I just wish that it worked better for me. The wave is made of silicone, that has a nice drag to it, but still slides wonderfully across some nicely lubed up lady parts. Unfortunately, it was made of what I am assuming is SOLID silicone, because this thing bends in all directions with even a little bit of pressure. This could be why I had no luck in finding my g-spot. This vibe is more oval shaped than circular, thinner at the head and getting larger towards the shaft, making insertion a breeze.

Aside from the silicone and flexibility, this baby has nearly no scent to it, which for me is a huge perk. I don't want to be shagging something that smells like a chemist's beaker. Silicone is a somewhat porous material, so I would suggest not sharing this toy without the use of a condom, and washing it before and after use. As it is silicone material, use only a water based lube, as well.

Design / Shape / Size

Overall, the shape was nice. It was the material and the lack of stability that I found was a turn-off for me. It was what I would consider "average" in length and girth, in comparison to most standard sized dildos and vibrators, which would make this size good for beginners or advanced users alike. Even though it does have a somewhat unique shape, you can't hide what it is. So, while it's small enough to travel in a suitcase or carry on, I wouldn't consider it discreet in the least.

Functions / Performance / Controls

I believe there are two bullets in this: one near the head, and one near the base. The vibrations of these definitely give you some buzz that will stimulate the entirety of your vagina, not just the part surrounding the bullet. Whatever this wave is touching is going to feel it. Whether or not you enjoy the buzzy vibrations is another thing. The design makes it great for pinpoint stimulation, with enough vibrations to feel it internally.

The controls are at the base and are your standard twist design. I found it a little difficult to control the vibrations while using it and ended up having to remove it, adjust the speed, and then go back to using it, which is exactly as annoying as it sounds like it would be.

Noise-wise, there is a distinct buzz to this that you won't be able to hide from across the room, though it can be masked in the shower. Speaking of, it performs nicely in a shower, but I wouldn't submerge it, personally.

I cannot speak for batter life, as I do not enjoy it enough to have run down the batteries in the few weeks I've had it. It takes 2 AA, and after two or three uses, it seems to still be maintaining a good bit of juice.

Care and Maintenance

I wipe my toys down with a baby wipe before use, and a sanitizing wipe after use, and I would encourage the same with semi-porous toys like this. Because of the battery compartment, this toy cannot be washed in the dish washer or boiled, like some others. I would not share this toy without using a condom, and I would not use it for anal use.

As this toy is made of silicone, do NOT use a silicone-based lube on it. Stick to water-based. Conveniently, this toy comes with a 50ml tube of "medical lubricant gel". I've used it in conjunction with the toy and it was enjoyable. As most of the package is in German, I can't share with you much other than the ingredients. I, personally, am not going to taste it because it has a soapy scent that I can imagine won't taste pleasant.

Ingredients: Aqua, Glycerin, Hydroxyethylcellulose, Sodium Methylparaben.

Packaging

I have nothing positive to say about this case. It came in a very cheap, flimsy silver box (mine which actually looked like it had been opened, and was torn a bit on the top, with the hinge hanging open and other damage to the box when I received it), with a plastic insert that had the toy and the lube inside. There is minimal packaging, no protection, and you can see through the plastic, so it is not discreet.

Personal comments

Overall, I was not impressed. Perhaps my body is not meant for this toys shape. Perhaps I'm made strangely. All of these are very distinct possibilities, and I am not entirely blaming the toy. It just didn't work for me. It might for another person, and it could probably give them crazy orgasms, but for me it doesn't really do anything except leave me numb, and aching for something that actually can do it.
Follow-up commentary
Since my review a month ago, I still have had no luck with this toy. I've tried it partnered with other toys, or using it for different purposes (clitoral stimulation, etc) but just really don't like it. I love the material, and was so hopeful for the shape, but this is an anti-orgasm vibrator for me. No matter how hard I try, I just can't finish with it. I wish other people better luck than I had, but for me, this baby is going in the retirement box.

I was so hopeful for this shape, too. But if the vibrations are buzzy, there's nothing to be done for it. Back to ogling the Wave.

I loved the shape, too - that's what drew me to it. And I was -really- excited for it. But it's just not adequately shaped for me
