3 way pocket vibe - pocket rocket by Doc Johnson - review by anders

The 3-Way Pocket Vibe by Doc Johnson is my favorite little vibrator ever! I use it solely for clitoral stimulation, but really, that was plenty. You can get tons of use out of this little guy. It comes with three pop-and-play tops of different textures and sports two vibration speeds, both of which are nice and steady without being overpowering.

I recommend this vibrator highly for anyone indulging in solo play, but I think it would also work well for couples who are looking for a little extra somethin'-somethin' in their routine. This is the part where I will tastefully refrain from making a three-way joke.

The texture of the ABS plastic that the vibrator is made from is really smooth and velvety. The material was well chosen for both the hard plastic shell of the vibrator and the softer, flexible rubbery-plastic of the interchangeable tops.

The toy has no smell, no taste, and a very nice texture. The tops have varying textures: one is smooth and round; the other has a swirl running through it that is only slightly more textured than the plain round top; and the third has little flat-tipped rubbery spines on it for the ultimate texture! They all have different sensations when used with the vibrations. The combination that was my personal favorite, for the record, was the spiny pop-top with the first level of vibration. Yum!

I love the shape and design of this pocket vibrator! It's small enough to fit comfortably in one of my hands (which are relatively tiny) and has three different pop-and-play tops (which I've taken to calling pop-tops!). These rubbery, stretchy tops have different textures and fit over the head of the vibrator. There's also a hard plastic cap that snaps on top when there isn't one of the pop-tops attached for easy storage and travel.

This toy is easy for anyone to navigate. Easy to clean, easy to store, easy to change the tops on, easy to assemble and disassemble, etc. It's a great vibrator for anyone just starting out using personal toys to someone experienced looking for a sweet little thing to keep close by the bed for a midnight "snack".

My only real complaint about this vibrator is that it burns through it's N battery awfully quickly. And also, really? An N battery? Well, at least it only requires one and you do get a hell of a good time for just the one battery.

There are three different pop-tops that come with this little guy (as previously mentioned) and has two speeds for the vibrations: powerful and more powerful. So really, you can have as many as six different settings with this pocket vibe if you think about it.

The first vibration setting is nice and strong, but not overwhelmingly so. Still, it's the one I gravitate toward most because it is steady enough to get the job done. The second speed is even stronger, and that one gets a little intense for me, but I'm sort of a wuss when it comes to very powerful vibrations. Despite the power of the vibrations, the toy isn't too loud though, and that's a huge plus.

The majority of this sweet pocket rocket is made from ABS plastic, which is your everyday hard plastic. It's relatively safe and easy to care for. Soap and hot water are the easiest, but of course any toy cleaner spray would work as well. It's a waterproof toy, but I recommend NOT putting it in boiling water or the dishwasher. I'm not convinced the ABS plastic would hold up well.

The three pop-tops are made out of TPR, which stands for Thermoplastic Rubber. This stuff is stretchy, amazing, and also relatively safe and easy to care for. Again, soap and hot water or a trusted toy cleaner are your best bet at sanitizing these little guys.

I recommend using a water-based lube with this toy. The TPR can mix adversely with silicone lubes that are contain TPR, so it's best to avoid silicone lubes in general.

Once the vibrator and tops are clean, pop the hard cap on the top and toss all of it into the complimentary velvet pouch! Really, it's as easy as that to store this guy. I love it!

The packaging is relatively simple. The outside packaging (the box part) is not cheap plastic - it's sturdy enough that it won't tear or fall all apart. It's easy to open (no scissors needed, which rocks my socks!) and easy to store. It's definitely not discreet packaging though, what with it being hot pink any place that it isn't transparent. However the box is small, and that counts for something. Also, it comes with a battery, so that's awesome!
