Use

The best use of the inked vibes is most likely for vaginal insertion. I would recommend it for anal insertion as it has no bulbous end, and makes for dangerous play. Since there is no handle, it's best used solo since a partner would be at a loss of how to please the other person efficiently. It's great for clitoral stimulation since it has such a high intensity of vibration, and can lead to orgasm quickly.

Material / Texture

The smoothness of the hard plastic material makes for easy insertion, but on the other hand, did not add any extra stimulation since there is no varying texture. It is smooth from the tip to the base, but is hard to grab onto because of its slip-n-slide aspect.

To be honest, I do not like the picture detail on the surface of the vibrator. I felt a bit like a little kid playing with a toy because of the colors. I'm all for fun in the bedroom, but the pictures seemed to add a bit of unnecessary goofiness: not in a fun way.

Unlike many jelly, rubber, and other material toys, the Inked Vibes did not have a detectable odor. Also, because it is plastic, it does not absorb odor either. It did seem to have a slight coating on it when I received it, almost like a film, and so I washed it prior to using it because I assumed it was something from the factory.

Design / Shape / Size

The shape of the inked vibes is not something I usually steer towards. I did not like the pointy tip, as it does not replicate a penis; which is essentially what I'm trying to imitate to a certain extent when purchasing toys for myself.

The size of the vibrator is good, and since it's not gigantic it is easily inserted, even for someone less advanced with toys. The toy also would make for good travel since it's not going to take up a whole suitcase... but be careful if you're staying at in-laws or a friend's house since it's not discreet in sound.

Overall the size is fulfilling enough without being challenging. The shape, to be honest, is not something I would be willing to try again in a different toy. I dislike the pointed end. It feels like my cervix is being poked at times, and did not turn me on.

Functions / Performance / Controls

This is one very very noisy vibrator. I turned it on and was very surprised by how loud it actually was; this is not a toy that can be blamed on the fan or an incessant vibrating cell phone. The sound detracted from the eroticism of the moment.

The controls set-up is basic, with the base being a dial that spins from no vibration to high vibration. This is easy to an extent because there is no guess work-it's either up or down.

The vibrating function is great because it does have quite a "vroom!" to it. I did not use it at its' highest intensity very much since it was almost overwhelming.

Oh, something to note is that this vibrator uses 2 C-batteries, not AA or AAA like many other vibrators do.

Care and Maintenance

One of the problems when storing this toy is that I can not get the batteries out. I try to remember to take out batteries after each use with a toy so that the batteries last longer. Unfortunately, they are just stuck inside. I don't exactly know how to take them out when I need to replace them aside from perhaps banging it on the counter.

I used a water based lube, Astroglide, when using Inked Vibes, but it wiped right off because there is no texture or absorbency to the material. It's very easy to wash since it is so smooth, and dries completely and quickly, unlike jelly toys: definitely an upside.

Packaging

The toy was packaged in a clear, flimsy plastic box with writing on it. Since it's pretty self-explanatory, it doesn't need a lot of instruction, but I was dismayed that the box makes no note of requiring C-batteries.
Follow-up commentary
Well, this toy saw it's last days in my possession shortly after I received it. It's pointed tip was significantly more painful than pleasurable, and my hand often went to sleep because of the intense vibrations it emitted. Instead of growing to enjoy it, as I have done with several sex toys in the past, I grew to despise it more every time I used it.

The C-batteries required were a waste of money, and made the toy louder than a typical vibrator. Not only that, it was impossible to get the batteries out at all because of a strange lining of cardboard, so I'm not sure what I would have done had I needed to replace the batteries. There is no spring for the batteries to be released, and the opening to where the batteries are placed is too tight to have them slide out. Overall, a poor design.

It was simply not worth my time to try to become acquainted with this gnarly-colored vibrator. I would not recommend trying.

I actually really like the pattern of the vibrator, but I agree that C batteries are horrible! They are so spendy...
