I love the show Supernatural and I must dedicate this review to them. In the show, there is a legendary weapon called "The Colt". It was created by Samuel Colt in 1835 and has supernatural powers to kill anything - except for Lucifer who states he is one of only 5 things it "cannot kill" when it is used against him. Of course, in order to kill anything with it, it must be a "kill shot" and it must use one of the supernatural bullets made for the gun. There are several times in the episodes when the characters are up against a "big baddie" and you'll hear the line "We need the Colt".

My husband, who is not a fan of the show has still yet embraced that line for his feelings about this toy. There are bullets (and we have several of them) but then there is "The Colt". When it comes to our playtime, he will hold this up and smile while saying, "We need the Colt".

So what is the Colt good for? Well, it is an plastic egg-shaped bullet that we use for clitoral stimulation. It can be used for other parts of the body like your nipples, etc. but in spite of the fact that it has a cord attaching it to the controller, we do not recommend it for internal play unless you are with a partner who can help you get it out without damaging the cord. We don't recommend it for anal play even with a partner.

Many new toy users start with "the bullet". They may choose the small slender bullet-sized and shaped vibrator, or the egg-shaped larger bullet that is also very popular. While these items can be made from different things, the most common bullet is a smooth shape that is made from some form of plastic and covered in a metallic finish. There is no texture to add extra stimulation because the vibrations should be enough stimulation on their own.

Some bullets tend to be more "pinpoint" in vibrations while others have the vibrations spread out over the whole bullet.

As an advanced user, I still enjoy bullets as much as I did when I started playing with toys. While I have tried other things for my clitoris (and have finally just broken down and ordered the MiMi to see if that will be better) - a bullet is my first toy I pick when I need something.

When it comes to bullets, I prefer the wider egg shaped bullets, so this is wonderful for me. This bullet is 1 1/8" in diameter and 3 1/4" long of which 2 1/4" is insertable. I don't recommend inserting it because I did have another bullet (cheaper version) come off the cord once when I tried to pull it out. With that said, if my husband is with me and we're playing together, he will sometimes insert it because he can pull it out more carefully since he can see everything!

One of the many things that I like about this bullet is the fact that it has a PUSH BUTTON that must be used to turn the unit on and off. The same button helps you cycle between the two settings also. I like this because I don't know how many times I've accidentally turned off a bullet or changed its speed without meaning to. The button isn't hard to press and even with lubed fingers, my husband can press it if needed -and he has large fingers and a large hand.

The vibrations are felt throughout the whole bullet and while you can hold it in such a way to create pinpoint stimulation, I prefer to have the bullet laying on its side and stimulating as much area as possible. The first setting is a fast and somewhat buzzy feeling while the second setting is much faster and more buzzy in sound. However, even with the buzzy feeling, when holding this in my hand I can feel the vibrations going down to my wrist and it doesn't feel like my hand will fall asleep.

I like the fact that the cord is 29" long because once we start playing with it - we can toss the controller to the side a bit and not worry about it again.

The bullet is waterproof, however, I have never tested that aspect of it and since my unit has been used probably 200 hours or more by now, I am hesitant to risk putting it in water. The cord appears to be ok and the cover does fit tightly over the batteries, but I just don't want to risk it since this bullet is out of stock as I write this review.

This bullet is so easy to use and clean. The 2 AA batteries required to run it go in the controller by sliding off the end that has two ridges. Once you place the batteries inside, put the cover back on (tightly so it will be waterproof) and push the control button and off you go!

To clean this, do not put it in the dishwasher or boil it. Simply wipe it down with toy cleaner or use a bit of soap and water on a cloth.

Since this is made of ABS plastic, you can use both water based and silicone based lubes on it. Speaking of ABS plastic, I want to point out that this is hypo-allergenic, latex free, phthalates free and made of food grade material.

The legendary Colt gun in Supernatural had one major limitation. There were only 13 bullets (each of which was engraved with a number) that could be used with it.

Fortunately, the Colt Xtreme Bullet does not have that limitation. We have used it over and over and over again and I imagine we have well over 150 hours of playtime of use with it. Sometimes I've used it alone (and even fallen asleep with it only to wake up hours later and find it still going) and frequently we've used it together.

My only concern is that it we may be close to reaching the end of its lifespan. I noticed last night (after falling asleep with it once again) that it was starting to get hot and overheat and that it smelled hot too. I tried it again a few hours later and it got hot within about 15 minutes. I'm so disappointed in the fact that Eden is currently out of stock on this bullet because I kept meaning to get a backup for it.

I guess my recommendation to you is that if you buy this and find you really like it, then buy a backup because it may not have as long as a lifespan as you'd like. Then again, please remember that many times I fell asleep with it and it was on for 4 hours or more....so I was using it under "xtreme" circumstances too!
