1. Take a shower
If it will make you feel more comfortable, by all means, go ahead and do it, but it is optional. If you follow basic hygiene, there is no need for an extensive clean up. That said, many people do feel that a nice hot shower can help them relax, plus, you can bring your partner with you and turn it into nice foreplay. If you think that you need extra clean up use anal douche with warm water.
2. Warm up before the main event
Reaching a certain level of arousal is a must before you go any further. You really need to make sure you are completely relaxed and comfortable and some even say that it pays to have an orgasm before anything goes up your bum. At the very least, have an extended foreplay session to get yourself excited and open for new adventure.
3. Lubricate, lubricate, lubricate
We can’t stress it enough – keep things wet and slippery. Put some around your anus, inside and on whatever you will be using first for penetration (finger, toy, penis). Try to buy the lube specially formulated for anal sex, it’s thicker. And avoid the numbing kind, as it can reduce your sensitivity to pain, which is an important indicator of something's going wrong and a sign to stop further action. Feeling pain allows you to avoid possible injuries to your anus.
4. Prepare it
Start slowly by preparing your partner’s anus for the play. First, use your hands or a toy to massage the buttocks, the area around the anus, and the anus itself. If you feel bold, try rimming – oral stimulation of the anus. Then move on to penetration. Again, use your finger or a toy, specially designed to gently stretch the canal. What would definitely help is while you’re doing your part, your partner continues to self-pleasure to make sure the arousal level stays up.
5. Positioning is everything
Anal sex can be enjoyed in a variety of the positions, but if you are just starting to play this field, you may be more comfortable with Spooning, Missionary and Easy Doggie, when woman lies on the belly with hips propped a bit. If the receiver wants to have more control over the depth of the penetration and the thrusting speed, try the Cow Girl.
6. Enjoy the variety
Anal play lets us feel a whole range of different sensations. The anus is an extremely nerve rich area and, when treated right, can reward us with extreme pleasure. Enjoy it to the max by adding some interesting sex toys, trying different positions, incorporating rimming and pegging ……Let your imagination go!
7. Will I orgasm?
It’s definitely possible to orgasm during back-play. There are a lot of nerve endings in that region and anal sex can be immensely pleasurable, especially if you’re relaxed and well-lubricated. Backdoor penetration allow for direct P-Spot stimulation for men and there is evidence that women’s G-Spot can also be reached that way, leading to orgasms, that some say are even more intense than vaginal.
