As far as events are concerned, there's nothing I would like to see LESS of. I would like to see more chances for us to all get to know each other better though. It would be great if we could figure out some team events. That would be interesting. Team challenges? Something to get us all together and involved. less

The one monthly thread was pretty cool. I forget what it was called.. Shoot.... well basically there would be 1-3 contributors where you got to ask them questions throughout that month. Maybe someone like this could happen again but maybe be a weekly thing instead of monthly? That way more contributors are given the chance to be asked questions and we'd get to know more about more contributors this way. less

The Reviewer's Spotlight? I put that on hiatus in October because of all of the events we were doing in December.

I want to start it up again and there will be a poll on that soon.

I think doing it weekly is probably too often and doesn't really give enough of a chance to get to know someone, but I'm open to bi-weekly.

In the past the Community Administrator picked people to spotlight based on the number of reviews they've done, their popularity in the community, and how long they've been here. I don't think that's the best way to set it up so we're going to try some other things this go 'round. less

Oh yes! Reviewer's Spotlight! I totally couldn't remember the name lol That's great that you'll be starting it up again soon! I didn't ask many questions but I always would read through the answers. Bi-weekly sounds good too! I must not be popular because I never was in the "spotlight" lol I like your idea of changing it up though. It gives everyone a chance to be featured. I'm sure a person feels special when they're featured so it'd be nice for newer members as well. I'm excited for this! less

Silly goose! You weren't here long enough. The requirement was you had to be in the community for at least a year, when it came to you being up for the opportunity I was already taking it in a different direction and spotlighting our club hosts so the community knew who they were and what they do.

But, yes I do agree that it's a great way to make members feel appreciated and I want you guys to know that you don't have to be so reserved in your questions. Ask really crazy shit if you're wanting to get into peoples' heads and figure out a little bit more about who they are and what they're into.

The more we break out of the "standard issue interview" mode, the more opportunities we'll have for a closer community and possible events. less

Okay, I really don't know if this is the correct moment to bring something like this up, but I rarely get here on time and lately, I've noticed something that I decided to bring up when 2 other people here on EF had the same issue and mentioned their frustrations also. So I'll just mention it right quick...

The new-ish review rating system. It used to show up the person's screenname who voted right out beside what they voted (poor, extremely useful, somewhat useful or useful.) These days, the person's name does not show up right beside what they voted for, and unless you happen to be seeing a review that's only been voted on once, you cannot know who voted poorly.

No, the problem is not necessarily know who voted what, but this system has made it to where a lot of people (the same people!) will go through and vote the same exact poor rating on every review everyday to get their points, but it's very unfair for them to vote so poorly on a very clearly EU review! Or the other way around. Either way, I know a few select people who refuse to stop, although they have been asked. I sometimes like to ask people what they thought I left out of my own reviews in order for them to rate poorly. Course you can tell the ones who did it just because when they never give you a reason.

Either way, the problem is that these couple of people are continually voting poorly on all reviews, whether they're poor or not. I'm about 95% sure that these people aren't even reading the reviews given how close in time they're rating different ones. For instance, it takes longer than 14 seconds to read and rate 4 whole reviews. Get what I mean?

Well, that's all I wanted to say, I guess. I just hope someone has an idea as to what may discourage them from doing this over and over. I also notice two of them who are repeat offenders also keep posting the same exact polls on the forums only weeks or months apart and they definitely don't stop, even when someone points it out every single time they do it. less

This is kinda related to kendra30752 and sktb0007's comments...I would really like a "why" feature added to the review voting. I don't mind receiving a "useful" vote...but I wish there was some sort of requirement that made it so when you vote you have to also give your reasoning for the vote. I don't know if this is possible, but it sure would be helpful for those trying to improve their review skills. I know I certainly look up to some of the top reviewers on the site, and I would love to be able to improve my reviews when they aren't rated as fantastic... less

I think in general the instructional idea would be a good one. Massage, Breathing, Flogging, Restraints could all be different topics for different times. The trick would be coming up with the topics people wanted to know, finding the people with enough experience and knowledge to instruct, (since there could be a liability issue if someone got injured following instruction although, don't really know)and then deciding on if and what rewards for instructors or products provided etc. There are many curious minds out there in EF and people want to know Based on what I've read on the forum's I'm sure there are people amongst us who could actually lead some of these classes if they were to take places. I would definitely not be one of those people lol. less
