Since EF now carries makeup and skin lotions can we get a "Beauty" category in the lounge?

I agree with this as well! Theres tons of beauty products that we carry now and it would be helpful to have a section for this. Especially when it comes to asking questions about ingredients, reactions/allergies and other important questions about it. COmparing them to other make up brands and what not.

I am pleased to announce the information for the editing program, Eden Tasks, has been fixed. It now reflects the 3 month waiting period to be notified of acceptance to the program as well as the rank requirement information to apply to the program.

Ok so we want improved searches for people we follow and to have just our discussion topics that we start under the respective tab on the dashboard.

Have I missed anything?
Thanks stormy for taking mine into consideration. I appreciate it!

I have seen about three or four items in the last few weeks that were posted here in forums on a "recently discontinued" thread. There was the Contour I that my wife and I really would have loved to have! Sadly, we never seen it when we were scouring the site for massage products. Same with the head tingler. Never once did it pull up on our pages while we were searching. The Body Slide (tho this is not discontinued-we had never seen it before under the massage items-yet we found it when we were looking for something totally different AND we have been on the site since November, so there is something goofy with that search engine) Trust me, we have done nothing BUT look at the massage items and used the search bar as well as the side menus and sub categories to sort and what not.

we have also noticed that there have been several items that just randomly pop up and we say "oh wow, I didn't know they had that" or "Hey, ive never seen that in this section before, is it new???" so there is something definitely screwy with the search not pulling up all available items or something.

SUGGESTION-
I would really like to see a "Soon to be Discontinued" section on the shopping page. Maybe a "Farewell" section or something like that. Someone had even said something about a Limited quantities in bold lettering next to the "Buy It" button on the product pages. Those would be seriously helpful! That way we know that its one of those "Get it til its gone" kind of things and we can plan our ordering accordingly and jump on it while the gettin' is still good-so to speak.

Anyone else have this problem with items randomly showing up, even though you've scoured through a certain section??/ Or are we just missin' this stuff lol.

Also, from Eden's standpoint-if you're looking to clean out inventory and just get rid of these discontinued items fast-if folks can see what is being discontinued, I can guarantee they will probably be sold out asap with certain items lol! (of course, this is just my opinion or thoughts, Im not really sure how that stuff all works-but it makes sense this way lol)

I always thought a "Back room blow out!" section would be great. They have all the great sales and all but I would guess they always have stuff that just needs to go.

A "Last Chance" section so we know what's about to go so we can grab the things we've been eyeing before they're gone for good.

Yeah, my wife and I are extremely frustrated with the fact that we can never find all these awesome items til they're discontinued! We're left sittin' here going "I was all over those sales/clearances-How on earth did we miss that item!!! I didn't see it!!" haha! So now we're left to hit up the classifieds, begging for anyone that has those to fess it up lol

I had a suggestion as well-A "Referral program"! This would be awesome since my wife and I have referred a handful of folks to the site. We may be having a few more ready to sign up too, after she does her spa party with the EF products.

If we could get...say "x amount" of points or maybe even once we reach a certain number of referrers that place orders over a certain amount then we get our choice of a free toy or a gift card for like $25 or something?

Anyone else second this idea?

Of course, there would be tweaks made to this idea-Im sure that the points/allowances or gifts could be different-those were just examples.

I know too that some may take advantage of this program (making several accounts etc etc) so maybe put some sort of thing on there that it has to be from a different IP address, or they have to be "verified' somehow? Not sure how they would do that tho or if it would be impossible to do?

They did this before, I think the EF tote bags were given to those that got a friend to join. Not sure why they stopped, could very well be that like you are saying, folks took advantage of it.

I would like it if when we are writing a review in the extened format and we choose to put text in an optional section such as care and maintance. But then we latter decided not to. For the system to not tell us it is a required section.

Example:

While working on a review I added a few notes for myself in the care and maintanece section. An optional section. Latter after saving the review. I go back and realized that the care and cleaning was not that much so it was added to the Design section and no longer needed in the Care section. I remove the care section. Save my project and the system tells me it is now required that I have text in this section.

idk why this happens. But unfortantly it happens often to me.

Thanks
Lori

I would love it if small brochers or something came every once in while with our orders. I give some of my free gifts away to friends as a way to kind of turn the on to EF. Something that directed them to the site and maybe displayed a few products would be so cool to give them also.

just a thought about the referal program, the only way i can fathem that this would really work. Is if they had a code to put in that was linked to you. They order so much as get a perk. Kind of like the home party idea. They order so much at your party and you get this perk. IDK

In regards to the classified adds; it would be great if we could have the option of the add staying there until we delete it. I forgot about my add for sewing repairs until I seen it in the Eden Community Chronicle.

What do you mean? You can manage your ads and if it expires before you're ready to pull it, you can just reopen it without creating a new ad.

I would just like to say THANK YOU for the little "direct" links at the top when you go into wishlists. I have an easy link to click back to to get to the wishlists without having to go through three or so clicks to get back. Thanks for all the updates and changes that you're making to the site to make it more "user friendly" and listening to us when there are issues! Much appreciated

I would still really love a way to filter the forums so I only look at discussions unless I specifically *want* to see polls. Right now in the top 45 posts (for all the categories combined) there are only 13 discussions. I usually have more fun in discussions, and I would have more of them to dive into at a glance if I there weren't 32 polls in between them all!

You can set an email alert for messages. Go into Account dashboard under Email Notifications. Every time a message is sent, an email will notify you.

I agree 100%. This is one reason I've been away for awhile. It is so hard to find items that you can request to review. Unfortunately, I don't have lots of time to sit and go through page after page trying to find something to request. I do like most of the changes that have been made while I was gone but this is still a major problem for me!

In response to a recent issue that a mentor had with a student, I'd like to suggest the following changes to the Mentor Program:

1. A student enrolled in a class should not have the option to go up for vote. The system should automatically prevent this. This is a no brainer and occurs more frequently than it should simply because students do not know any better.

2. Students should still be able to drop a class at any time. However, it should result in an automatic failure. The presumption is that if a mentor has not graduated you and you drop, you would have failed without additional reviews.

3. A mentor should be able to fail a student at any time. Currently, the system only allows us to fail a student after 2 reviews have been submitted. How many students do we all have that either submit one or no reviews and disappear forever? Our only option is to cancel the class which basically erases all evidence that we ever worked with the student. Personally, I don't care if we get a GC or points for failing these AWOL students, but I feel strongly that mentors should get the credit for having worked with them.

4. I think the ability to get voted in should continue. However, I think that any reviews completed under a mentor should not be used as part of their body of work. Currently, when a reviewer requests an upgrade vote, the system lists their reviews. Reviews that were completed with the assistance of a mentor do not demonstrate that reviewers ability to write a quality review on their own. The system should automatically ignore these reviews.

5. We need the information currently available regarding the details of the mentor program to be updated and expanded. Too many mentors and students alike don't understand the program completely. A FAQ would be great!

This is what's important to me:

1. Being able to easily sort through products to review that have 0-3 reviews.

2. To be able to use the filter to see all the stuff that's currently on sale all in one spot. I don't mind looking through pages and pages.

When it comes to the classifieds I think everything looks pretty good. Maybe there should be some sort of disclaimer like, "edenfantasys is not resonsible blah blah....buyer beware" type of thing, you know? I don't think it's the place for posting things like "let's hook up" kind of adds either. I also wish there was more room to type. I think it's really short and I practically just have to list my email and ask them to email me for the info because there's no room. Umm...

When people say they will sell you something for points, you can't do that can you? I thought if the points come from someone elses account you can't use them. But you can use gift cards. That's my understanding anyway.

I think EF needs to make some changes with regard to the mentor program. If a student enrolls in a class with a mentor then they should not allowed to also go up for voting in the community to become advanced. This has happened twice to me and seems to have happened to others as well. While I don't mind mentoring people that are already advanced BEFORE they come to me, it bums me out and hurts my feelings a little when I agree to be a new persons mentor and they take a class with me then I go to the community page and see they are up for voting. I even had one person message me and tell me how much they wanted my help and so on then I see they also applied to get voted in. It really isn't fair to us mentors, please do something about this.

Going to add to the request that things should change about the mentor program. I agree with Kindred's post above.

I would also like to see a change in the number of reviews in order to request your upgrade. 2 is far too low. This is something you can get done in less than a few hours of time. It shouldn't be that way. You should have to put in some work in order to get your upgrade. I agree the upgrade should be there as an option to the mentor program, but the bar should be raised.

Also, I think it would be a good idea if when you go to request your upgrade somehow something comes up to give you the option and inform you about the mentor program. Because many people don't know about it before requesting. If something were to pop up asking "Have you heard about our Mentor Program? This is a program that allows you to be paired up with a higher ranked member to help improve your review skills. These mentors can request you items if you join their class. They are usually willing to work with advanced and non advanced members, but the mentor gets compensated better if you are non advanced. Is this something you would be interested in? Well then check out here prior to requesting the upgrade.-link "
