I started my new one on Blogger because that's where my other blog is, but I'm pretty sure I'm going to import it to Wordpress. For a more flashy & professional looking template as well.

I had an adult blog at blogspot that I started in October of last year. I blog 3-5 times a week. I get about 10,000 hits a month. It was by no means a spam blog. Monday I was on e[lust] for the first time....and I posted the ... more
Oh my goodness! Thanks for putting this out there. I worry about this, so we backed it up, but it's crazy that it actually happens.

I am finally making the move. Almost done copy pasting all the posts. (the import function only imported titles.
On the comments import it just imported the name of the commenter but not the comment, so I still have to copy past those.

Then onto checking all the links to be sure they work.

I haven't even bothered with formatting the layout yet, just working on the content. keeping it private until i'm done so there isn't duplicate content out there.

I've procrastinated on this. Finally making the move. then onto hosting. I have to do something because my stats are plummeting. and the Blogger issue Karen pointed out scares the crapola out of me.

Is there any issues to be aware of if I just move to wordpress.com for now. I have my own domain but I would like to put off getting hosting until I get to where I could at least break even on operating costs.

That's really awful, and I know I'd be a wreck if all of my hard work was suddenly deleted without warning. I hope other bloggers heed your warning and switch over to their own domain and hosting.

Hey folks. If you really want to protect your blog content, you should pay for web hosting space and a wordpress (or other blog/content management system), that way you are in control of it. Just $.02.
