Contributor: Airen Wolf Airen Wolf
Our topics this month were:
*Poetry Open- Give us your words! Show us your soul. Whatever style you prefer, just get out there and write us some poetry!
Open Topic- Writers choice. Anything and everything is allowed from non-fiction to raunchy erotica.
October- We feel that October is the perfect time of year for everything from supernatural fiction to describing what the seasons changing means to you. Anything October is the name of the game!
Story Start- Spooky and perfect for the coming Holiday.

Here's a list of the work submitted to the forum this month:
Date With The Devil by ScarletFox
Blacker Than Black by Sneakersandpearls
Zorro by AHubbyof2SexualMinds
Her by Charletnarouh

The story start category seemed to spark us in good ways! I can't wait to discuss what we will tackle in the coming month. Check out Eden Lit Lessons. I am aiming for 2 new lessons every week so keep checking back.

Remember the meeting begins at 3 pm eastern standard time, see ya there!

All work is simply posted on the forum with the following header: #Eden Lit- (Month.Year)-Topic-Tit le
#Eden Lit- (09.2012)- Open Topic- My Own Title!

One week before the meeting I round up all the submission and post a handy clickable link to the work since the forums are a bit hard to navigate. If you have work you'd like to post after I post the meeting forum just post the work with the proper header and leave a message here on the meeting forum.

Welcome to the Eden Lit Club Meeting for October 2012!

So it seems the story starts have become a really popular topic!
I was pleased to see how you all handled my rather generic story start. I apologize for not adding my own work this month but it was a rather hard month. I promise I will jump on in next month!

Congratulations to ScarletFox for being our featured writer this month. Check out our SexIs write up: October Meeting. I added two new features to the usual write up that should keep people chuckling.

We have some new Eden Lit lessons as well and Stormy will add them to the directory as soon as she can. Here's a handy list of them for now:
Voice In Writing

Some Grammar Rules

The Use Of Rhyme In Poetry

How To Write A Sonnet

Capitalization

All About Modifiers

So how is everyone today?

I am working on how to punctuate dialogue right now as the Eden Lit Lesson #1 of this week. Next I'm going to talk about what constitutes good dialogue...some of the pitfalls to avoid, that sort of thing. I figure since proper punctuation is really the key I'd devote and entire lesson to it!

I added "weird sex facts" and "obscure vocabulary" to the SexIs article this month...

"Let's eat Grandma," and "Let's eat, Grandma." Punctuation saves lives and whatnot.

You know, I'm not a big fan of writing horror, but I really enjoyed it. Space permitting, I would have loved to flesh it out more.

Feel free to do that! You can just continue in the forum as a comment or you can post your work on a blog and then link to it. If you close your blog to search engines it will remain only accessible by invitation.

Did you ever see "Into the Woods"? The wolf says...ok, sings, "Think of those crisp, aging bones, then something fresh on the palate," about Grandma and Red. Quite creepy. And his costume had testicles. Also a little creepy.

Yeah, but there are so few readers here right now, I was afraid that a long story would make it not read at all. Of course, I usually overthink things.

Hrmmmm might be a little bit too realistic for me...

When Woman China used to write for us she would post pieces of her work just because of that reason. It was easier to read small bites of stories and she got quite a following.
Don't be afraid people won't read your work, we have ways of getting it in front of people's noses.

It was a great musical with a great story, but it was very distracting.
