This isn't meant to be a complaint, because I love my two Vixskin dildos, but I noticed something odd today. My chocolate Maverick is significantly tackier feeling on the surface than my caramel Johnny. Has anyone else noticed this sort of thing? I'm not sure if the different color has anything to do with it, or maybe it's a function of age? The Maverick is newer then the Johnny, but I don't remember the Johnny ever feeling this sticky. Just curious what would have caused this.

Off the top of my head, I think it might be a lubricant issue. Have you ever used silicone lubricant with the Maverick? I know that VixSkin toys don't usually react too well with silicone lube.

No, never. I only own water-based lube. It was sticky like that right out of the package.
