Well, I placed an order the other night, that shipped yesterday. It contained mostly lingerie, but also a Jopen Key vibe and a Leaf vibe. We'll see how it arrives on Friday... I really don't want to have to deal with smashed boxes.
I just placed an order last night that includes a glass toy and a large massager, so I'm really hoping they'll be in a box with enough packing materials inside. I'll report back.

i just received an order in one of these bags!!! I have my stuff shipped to my office to avoid a nosy kid but i get to my office and find this type of bag with my order MANGLED up inside!! the product boxes were destroyed and everything in the order could be felt through the bag!!! i wrote a support ticket and this is what "Antoneo" had to say:
"Our apologies that your items were not handled and delivered properly to you. I believe your order was still discrete as no items fell out of the bag, just out of the packaging they were in and were loose in the bag. I don't think they would have been able to completely tell what was is there via the thickness of the envelope. In regards to compensation, we will be more than happy to provide a refund provided you return the items to us."
still discreet?!?!?! really?!?! i felt the bag when i picked it up and could clearly feel a cock inside! how is that discreet?! if this is to continue i will take my business elsewhere! I'm completely outraged and stunned by this.

This is ridiculous. I'm going to wait to see how more recent orders are handled because I don't want people to be able to feel through my packages from here.
The fact of the matter is it doesn't matter if other people can tell what is in the packages or not. It doesn't matter if items fell out of or ripped the envelope.
What matters is how the customer feels.

What matters is how the customer feels.
If the customer feels put in an awkward position due to the way their package was shipped, they no longer feel confident and happy to be shopping with you. They no longer feel assured and as if things are safe and discreet for them.
If the customer prefers intact boxes, especially the beautiful gift boxes many things come with, and are instead receiving smashed, crushed and otherwise marred goods, they no longer feel the item is in the promised condition. They again lose confidence and reason to shop.
No one should have to have packages held at the post office or make an extra stop to a UPS store when ordering from an online seller that should be practicing quality, safe shipping. That's beyond insane.
If I bought something from Bed Bath and Beyond and they said it was going to be partially crushed and flopping around in the bag when i got it and, hey, I can prevent that by having it held at the post office... I'd tell them to bugger off and just go shop at the freaking brick and mortar store.
The point isn't how we can accept this. The point is this is not acceptable.

just placed a large order of about four to six items, so i hope they are shipped in a box just due to the size of the overall packaging. Reporting back sometime next week when they arrive.

I am expecting an order to arrive today and next week, both rather small orders, but I guess we shall see, since the one today will be containing lube.
However, I am a small business owner, making children hair bows, so I ship and receive packages of materials all the time. Us small business owners have no other choice other to use USPS to keep shipping down, we use either first class or priority mail and both of those services are not being handled properly anymore. I received a package last friday that was marked fragile three times, and my items were wrapped in bubble wrap twice and some of the contents inside were still broken and looked like the package had been ran over, this is happening to a lot of us.
Now I know, that the inside contents and how they are wrapped and packaged has nothing to do with the post office, but I would say open a support ticket obviously so they know that they need to start shipping better and marking fragile on appropriate packages or just stop shipping those type of products all together, but if your package is in rough shape I would contact and complain to the postmaster as well. This is what all of us small business owners are doing.

I did receive my package yesterday and it was in one of those bubble mailers that many others seem to be getting. However all of my things were bagged separately. Both of my lubes were in a ziplock together, my three free items were in another zip lock together, and then finally my vibrator was separate, all packed in a bubble mailer, shoved in my mailbox.
Sorry for the crappy photo, it was taken on my phone.
This was the first time that I chose to ship through UPS mail innovations. If I remember correctly USPS priority used to be the cheapest and I always chose to ship my items that way. I always received them in a plain brown box, like their policy states.
I am glad to see that none of my products were manhandled and were all safe and sound, so to say, however if this is how they are going to continue to pack their items for UPS mail innovations, I think I might just pay the extra $3 for the USPS priority, if I even order again.
I understand that time are tough and people are trying to cut down on shipping, but if you do that you either a) need to stick with your shipping policy, or b) change it telling us how are products are shipped and let us know. We are the customers, without us, you have no business, we are the voice of the world, hehe, in my opinion at least.

The shipping method should not affect the packaging. The shipping service (USPS or UPS) does not package your items; EF does.
Putting two lubes into a baggie together does not protect them from leaking, breaking, and/or mingling together--it only protects the other items in the bag from getting lube on them. I'm not sure why the folks in the warehouse would waste money and time on such an ineffective means of protecting products.

I totally agree with this. If the contributors aren't happy, then what about the customers? I've always thought of the contributors as a first line of defense. God help if a customer's order was shipped like that! The'd never order from Eden again!
I know that Eden is known for it's AWESOME return policy. I know that y'all can return anything that you're not happy with VERY EASILY, but some shoppers might just say "fuck it," and never order again.
And I have to hand it to Stormy, she's fielding y'all's messages. If she's the one in charge, message away. That's the only way that you guys are going to get YOUR Eden back. Y'all need to let her know about all of your concerns.
Stormy said it best. It was TWO days before she even knew this shipping thing was an issue. She should have had 50 emails about how upset you guys were about this. Let her know. Y'all pitch in and tell her what you need in order to do your jobs better. She's told y'all a million times that she's here to help you.
Wow, this place is going downhill. I came back to order an nJoy toy and some lube, but why would I bother buying it here if this is how shipping is being handled now?
As for people worried about taking pictures for reviews, take the pictures anyway. You're reviewing Eden as well as the toy and people should know if orders are not being handled properly.
This doesn't have to be an all or nothing situation when alternatives exist. You know, even if I had to pay a few dollars more for a freaking box, I would! Do I want to pay more, of course not, but after several mangled packages, I'm considering it! They offer free shipping with orders above a certain amount, perhaps there can be a threshold for using a box, as well, otherwise you can elect to pay extra for one? Those are just a few options off the top of my head. Another would be to have the option to select either the free gift, or a box for your order. There are other ways to handle this, if it really is a priority for them.
