I really don't want animated emoticons. The static ones are great, however, and I'd like to have more expressions/images available.

I like the idea of sending someone a gift that's not on their wishlist. I know I don't update my wishlist every day, and I'm also supportive of expanding horizons (or sending self-fellating squirrels as the case may be).

Me neither on the "last logged on" option.

I really, really hate when websites do this. I don't want others to know when I log in for a brief moment. It somehow feels like an invasion of privacy, though I know I'm not the majority opinion on this.

Well, like others have said, since most of us don't have to log in/out, it'd look like we never leave! I don't think it's necessary to show when I was last here. And I think many people would feel odd knowing that people can see how often they log on and off.

I just want to add that animated emoticons are very difficult on people who have TLE or other neurological disorders. I'm all for more emoticons, but I think that they should remain static.

I definitely like the idea of badges, especially for when you hit a certain number of reviews, if you're the head of a club, or a contributor of the month type things.

I also don't like the idea of virtual gift items. I would be worried that I could upset someone by not having the extra time online to care enough to send any. "Why didn't you send me anything, DJ?" Gah! Because it's a silly virtual gift and I have other things to do and you should know I like you without it?

Aaaand I'm with Bunnycups. Yall already know way too much about my sex life, urges, and masturbation practices for me to want you to be able to virtually stalk me. Seriously. (But I do love yall.)

And no more borders around avatars than necessary. I thought it was super sweet enough that club managers got a border to begin with. But with we add them for everything then it'd be pretty overwhelming.

Let's see, what else...

Total yes on -
-Seeing how many people read your review
-Formatting for private messages
-More smileys/emoticons!!!
-Being able to send gifts that aren't on a wishlist

I essentially feel the same way with the ones on FB. Personal and EF ones... I've blocked almost every app someone has sent me something from. It's just like you said... NOT PERSONAL, I just have other things to do, and I think they're kinda silly/pointless...

I think with personal gifts, most of us do a really good job with this with pictures and gifs we snatch off the web!

I see what @DeliciousSurprise is saying about the animated emoticons. I hadn't thought of that. Good point. I'm still on the "more" bandwagon though.

That's why I'm not involved in social networking sites. There's too much information given about yourself and every action you make. Like RedVinylKitty said, it feels an invasion of privacy. If Eden did add this feature I'd want the option of turning it off. That would be a great compromise

A "karma system" feature would definitely be an awesome addition. Tuesday mentions here a system that her knitting forum uses. I really like this idea because you have more options than just 'like' and 'dislike.' You can also mark a post with 'educational' 'love' and 'interesting.'

DeliciousSurprise did make a good point. I don't want obnoxiously flashing animated emoticons, but I think the corresponding mood smileys, like the ones myspace had would be a cute and fun addition. There is slight animation, but they're still safe.

I love the idea of badges

Would they just be static images or could they be clickable? I think it would be neat if someone had the 100 review milestone badge and you clicked it it would take you to the 100 review club thread in the forums. Clicking a porn club badge takes you to porn club, etc..

I noticed a few people question how you would decide who gets a club badge. You could always have the badge with a small number in the corner letting people know how many of those meetings someone had been to. So your first meeting you get the club badge and then every meeting you attend after that ups the number on your badge. I don't know how that would be updated exactly, but it's an idea anyways. Sort of like what Kindred mentioned about adding your review number to your avatar.

Since we were discussing email formatting... can we also switch the send and cancel button? I always Tab/Enter to post, and it cancels in email. SO FRUSTRATING

I love the earned badges idea best. That is really neat and I would be proud to display those. I am sure others would too.

I'm kind of iffy on the electronic gifts idea. Not really sure how I feel about that one. I don't think I'd really use it. Not sure though...

I forget if I had commented on this. but cool badges showing what we achieved would be awesome. and the forum needs formatting to make it easier to navigate. That would be great. Drop down menus could do us some good.

If anyone's still watching this thread... I'd love like the ability to edit previous posts. For typos and the occasional didn't think that one through. Most forums allow it, and the software makes a notation that something was changed. It'd be easier than having to flag down a staff member to help fix errors.
