I would say a trip to a doctor isn't out of the question here, pelvic inflammatory disease causes sex to be painful all of the time. It can be painful for me at certain times of my cycle but overall it's a good hurt not a bad hurt, if you know what I mean.

yeah if it's always hurting you, you should definitely see if there's a reason for it.

If it hurts a lot then doctor is needed. True life did a eposide about this and there was some major problems.

It does occur sometimes, such as when I am not lubricated enough...

It only hurts me if I start to dry up for some reason. But if it is continuous, you should get it checked, just in case.

Please go to a doctor! I used to be in pain constantly and found out I simply had an untreated yeast infection...not fun!

Tenderness/pain can also be there depending on where you are in your monthly cycle. When your period is due your cervix can become quite tender.

Do go to a doctor and get checked out. Sex is meant to be one of pleasure not pain.

I'm really sorry to hear that. I think making a doctor's appointment is a great idea. I agree, sex is not meant to hurt, so I hope you can figure something out with your doctor. Best wishes!

It really couldn't do any harm to visit a doctor.

The pain could be caused by something simple like needing more lubrication or foreplay, or it could be caused by a something that requires medical treatment.

Are you on birth control? I was on one pill that killed my sex drive and made sex uncomfortable.

Are you able to masturbate comfortably with penetrative toys or does the pain only occur during partner sex?

Definitely see a doctor.

For me, it only hurts if its been awhile. Then the area where my episiotomy was hurts just for the first minute or two.

Doctor! Stat!!!!

Every once in a while is normal. Dryness, aching muscles etc... but hurting all the time? It could be that you have very sensitive nerves or something else that needs some attention.

It is better to be safe and get yourself checked out!!!!

When it is ever painful the reason is O/our "E/enthusiasm", not something else serious... ~grins

Only when I have an ovarian cyst. It's not really painful per se, just uncomfortable. Luckily I've only had one (that I'm aware of).

Sometimes it hurts quite a bit afterwards, but the vast majority of the time it doesn't

I agree with some of the other posts here. Seeing a doctor is probably a good idea.
