Almond milk? Alternative to regular milk?

I enjoy almond milk. I prefer Silk over Almond Breeze.

I've never ran into an alternative milk that I've liked, and that has any sort of nutritional value to it.

Rice milk is basically sugar. Coconut milk just tasted odd - and I like coconut. I can't tolerate soy milk. Hemp milk was so gross. I've never tried almond milk - I don't want to waste more money if I don't like it.

I drink it occasionally. It's much healthier than soy milk (soy isn't really healthy, especially if it's not organic cos then it's GMO). But I prefer rice milk personally.

Almond milk tastes great, but the flavored versions are full of sugar, so I wouldn't recommend them as healthier alternatives to milk (the same is true for flavored soy milk). I had to stop drinking both after reading the sugar content, except occasionally as a treat.

I love cow's milk (preferably whole and raw), but I also loooovveeeee almond milk. Almond Breeze is my favorite brand because their regular, unflavored milk still has a thick, rich taste that offers a similar mouthfeel to cow's milk. I currently have the unsweetened vanilla Almond Breeze, which I think is good, but it's a little too watered down for my taste. I'm generally not a fan of flavored milks of any kind.

I'm not a fan of soy milk at all, but I do like almond milk. I started drinking Chocolate flavored Almond Breeze when I was young and had to take a lot of pills. The flavor and texture helped me keep on track and not skip, and even though I've mostly gone off those meds I still drink it all the time. I drink it in addition to regular milk (which I end up only drinking in my coffee, tea, hot chocolate, and other beverages).

I really like lactaid, because it looks and tastes like milk, but doesn't hurt my stomach the way milk does. I've never tried almond milk, and I doubt I ever will. It kinda weirds me out for some reason.

I've had a sample of it, and found it tasty. Actually, I just made roasted jalapeno and maple corn muffins, and used almond milk because it was there. Worked like a charm, and really rounded out the sweet and spicy. I'm impressed!

I find the Silk dark chocolate is the best chocolate milk. I love how it tastes like chocolate, not like chocolate flavored milk. I prefer the Silk vanilla almond milk for my coffee. It doesn't have as strong of a flavor when I use it in coffee and I like that. I'm not normal that way. Most people I've spoken to who add creamer to their coffee, due so to cover the coffee. I like it to complement, not cover.

I haven't seen so delicous alternative milks where I shop. I've tried the Blue Diamond and really didn't like that one. I'm surprised you think all the Silk alternatives taste watery; even the almond milk?

I would love to try it, but it's incredibly expensive where I live. If I substitute cow milk I buy a mix of rice and soy milk, because it's the only cheap one around.

My mother had a device to make milk on your own. Just put almonds, nuts, soy beans... in and get out milk. Cool stuff.
