This made me chuckle! Thank you!

@Starkiller87 - idk, I also said i do not hate anyONE, i dislike the lifestyle some people live. i'm not scared of people who are gay; i do not know many people who chose that. the majority of my friends and family are either single parents, married or engaged or living together and almost all of them have a child or children.

@wrmbreze - i will always love my kids 100%. no parent always agrees with decisions their kids may make in life, but should always love them reguardless.

And I love everyone, i don't love every action everyone does as do most people some may not like that I'm a stay at home mom but IMO if you can afford to stay at home and raise your kids without having to put them in daycare, then go for it. your kids will love you whether you're a hard working out of home parent or you stay at home and teach them and are with them 24 7 pretty much.

They're involved with church activities thru the week and have plenty of friends. What i don't understand which maybe off topic is why some people shelter their kids so much as to homeschool them and NOT let them hangout at church friends' house w/o the parent, even tho the kids are 5 or 10.

It is impossible to love someone and be intolerant and unaccepting at the same time. They are fundamentally contradictory.

"The ones I've been told that is still effective in this day and age"

So your technically speaking NOT following "the bible". The bible is pretty clear on this again link . What your actually following is "what you've been told", which leads to the question what makes those people more trust worthy then the book itself, or the other people saying the Bible is saying tattoos are sinful. Again this is just another rationalization as to why your special and immune to having follow your own Holy Book.

Again Bible: link Tattoos Sinful.

What you've been told =/ to Bible.

You can't even hind behind the Bible anymore. So how do you decide to follow some parts "of what you've been told" over "other things you have been told"?

I, literally JUST saw this on FB:

"I am afraid to hold my boyfriend's hand."
"My friend's parents sent her away."
"I found death threats in my locker."
"I submitted to electroshock therapy."
"I lost half of my friends after coming out."
"My grandmother sends me hate mail."
"My school won't let me bring my date to prom"
"I am not here anymore."
"My dad tried to beat it out of me."

When YOU stop making it in to laws.

Laws by the way in a representative forum of government being things that people are supposed to getting involved active and not ignore by the very nature of our government.

What your saying in "please ignore the thing that effects your life and that since your took first civics class in elementary school are told not to ignore but actually get very very involved in and even put on your resume because...ummm...I follow "the bible".

No it's not. the action is not allowed in our home. Unlike me, they'll have curfews and we'll know all their friends, which is not a bad thing. I wish they made private school a lot more affordable. i didn't have much issue being in private school k - 12. the rules in school were a bit much but other than that it was fine

@ mama2007, why are you involved on a sex positive site that promotes equality and love when you're intolerant and bigoted? The bible has been used for years to prevent people from masturbating and engaging in sex for pleasure, so why are you here?

Also, Jesus didn't say anything about gay marriage or homosexuality. In fact, he condemned everything in the old testament. (Eph. 2:14-15), "For He Himself is our peace, who made both groups into one, and broke down the barrier of the dividing wall, 15 by abolishing in His flesh the enmity, which is the Law of commandments contained in ordinances, that in Himself He might make the two into one new man, thus establishing peace."

Checkmate.

i do not make the laws. my 1 vote in a huge election likely has little effect on the president's decisions or congress.

@BBW - wow people really hurt the LGBT Community in that way? thats horrible, i never thought people actually would say/write hate to anyone. im not hating anyone, i just have an opinion about the topic discussed. why would someone beat or kill someone over it? none of that makes any sense to me except for the one about taking their date to prom. that's an issue in statewide schools i've heard.

other than a post here or there about the topic, I have NO issues whatsoever with EF at all. i enjoy spending my free time reviewing products and doing video reviews, blog reviews, earning points, GCs, being part of Eden Loves Bloggers, Affiliate program, etc etc. I'm married and have sex when we want to. I buy what i want to with things and lotions, etc.

And the new testament is where 1 Corinthians is found that has the homosexuality verse(s) in it.

Still doesn't change the fact you can't activity chose to engage in a conversation about laws and expect to be ignored. You entered here of your own free will, chose to enter this debate. You can't say you don not wish to debate and open your mouth to make an argument at the same time. We where ignoring ,I had no idea you even existed, until you of your own free-will called attention to yourself by posting.

Your are hypocrite that expect others to ignore you when you chose to bring attention to your self, yet you can not only do the same for others but demand laws be put in place do to your own inability to ignore gay marriage.

You did not ignore us, you did not ignore gay marriage, you did not ignore gay people, you did not even ignore this thread. Do not expect them or us to ignore you because of you feel entitled to that which you do not give.

Yes. People really do hurt the LGBT community in this way. You want to know why people care so much about having LGBT rights? This is why! Because people are terrorized.

It's easy to have an opinion opposing something if you have never had to live through, or personally know someone who's lived through, this kind of terror.

I have three friends who, in the past month, have been referred to as men even though they are very obviously women, simply because they wear more masculine clothes. It was done intentionally. I witnessed two of the incidents.

I have a friend who has to change rooms in her house because her neighbors are so bigoted, they make death threats through her bedroom window. The police do nothing and she cannot afford to move.

Me, personally? I lost my two closest friends when I came out (or re-came out... whatever. I've known I was bi since I was 12). Not to mention most of my family has ceased to speak to me.

I have a transgendered friend (not a transvestite, there is a difference, you should learn it) whose family says the most God-awful things to him and it absolutely breaks my heart to hear about it.

A teen in my state just committed suicide a month ago because of the things that were being said to him on FB and at school. A beautiful life snuffed because of hatred and intolerance.

Yes. This hatred and violence happens. Ignoring it won't make it stop. It's WHY we fight for equal rights.

It's so awful how people treat those who are gay.

A friend of mine sister came out to her mom when she was in high school. She was about 16 at the time. He mother kicked her out of the house. She was forced to live with he grandparents because mom couldn't accept who her daughter is. It's a shame.

There are many horror stories about what people have done to those who are gay. Sometimes those who are gay have been raped to try to "FIX" or "change" them. There have been occasions were those who are gay or mistaken for being gay have been beaten and even killed because of the hatred people have for the LGBT.

Equality is important because it will help STOP acts like this. We should be accepting of who people truly are and leave judgement for those who have the right to pass judgement. Which does NOT include us on Earth.

I didn't realize that's what LGBT rights were for, i have always thought they just want to get married and be like straight marriages and such. No one should EVER leave a death threat to anyone, idc if u are purple, tie die, black, white, bi/gay, straight w/e. The cops have to investigate threats like that. My sister isn't anything more than a married wife, but her hubby use to do empty threats in 2010 and cops investigated it and he went to jail for 3 days cuz of it. as for family not speaking to you, thats not right - for a few months is one thing but for good? no that's just wrong. don't have to like the way of living but always love your child/family.

As for Transvestite vs a Transgendered, i'm not sure and i may look it up. I just know the 1 person i saw sunday was CLEARLY a man dressed like a girl - nails and fake boobs, but facial hair and wig and the manly voice gave the huge impression that he was trying to look like a girl, but obviously not doing too good a job at it. i didnt say anything rude to him though. I told my husband once we got the tickets and he said shush til we get to car.

and the 1st post i said nope and i don't wanna argue over it i said, got hounded with ?s and ?s and ?s and comments and now we're 6 pages into this post.

And wow that's just PATHETIC and horrendous that people rape gay people because they're gay. any force or abuse is wrong!

My moms have been together almost as long as your parents have. My mother is happier than she has ever been, being in a relationship with her partner. And her three children (myself included) are better off with two moms than with my mom and our abusive father.

Your morals are skewed. God prefers kind atheists to hateful Christians.
