Gay marriage: yay or nay?

actually 1/2 of my friends are from church and 1/2 of them are from gymnastics i use to do, neighborhood friends and school friends who are not Christians. I don't "keep myself" away from people who are gay, i don't even know anyone but maybe 2 people who are that I know in my hometown, but I never talked to them much.

Yes it's technically wrong in general to have sex before marriage.

- No i have never stole anything that i'm aware of even as a child.
- I don't know about the adoption question because I personally have never had to deal with foster care or adoption.
- In your lives, you don't purposely break the commandments. It happens and you ask God to forgive you for it & do your best to not do that again. As with anything wrong - ask for forgiveness from those you have wronged.
- No i have not cheated on a test when I was in school and never attended college
- Fantasy with anyone other than my husband? no.
- Coveting is what is one of the 10 commandments, not admiring someone. Coveting is wanting something really bad that someone else owns or has.
- Admiring someone for their courage in something is not coveting them less

I just got through saying that I got ONE because of something I went thru 6 yrs ago and wanted to have the resemblence for something. I am not sure what the Bible says about tatoos, my dad use to tell us as kids a lot about that but i forgot the verse.

And the specific sins that you won't inherit the kingdom of heaven are:
(1 Corinthians 6:9)

- sexual immoral
- idolaters
- prostitutes
- adulterers
- homosexual offenders
- swindlers

it doesn't specifically say gay marriage, but the lifestyle of homosexuality. And it's not a law in the Bible, it is a statement. less

You haven't explained anything. You haven't explained why you aren't going out and demanding tattoo parlors be banned and renouncing your sinful tattoo, which would be the logical consistent with you forcing other people to obey your biblical laws. You doge the question each time its asked. I don't know what the bible say isn't an answer acceptable either you had plenty of time to sit and read it, you can't cry ignorance when it convenient for you.

@BBW Talks Toys - I don't know the exact refrence verse but it says "Ask and it will be given, seek and ye shall find, knock and the door will be open to you". Wrongs you've done in your past may not be forgiven by people even if you ask for their forgiveness, but that's their choice whether or not to. If you're a child of God and are sincere about being sorry for what they've done wrong and ask God to forgive them. It matters but it's in the past; if you've done your part in asking Him and others to forgive you of the wrong doings you did, God will forgive you and doesn't keep record of wrongs. I have never had a reason to idolize anyone. To follow in someone's footsteps in being a good parent like them isn't idolizing.

this whole post makes me laugh. i reply, because it's hard not voicing an opinion about something. i'm in no witchcraft crap, that stuff is stupid. and if YOU and anyone else doesn't LIKE a opinion, simply ignore it. ppl post such opposing topics yet get defensive when someone disagrees with them? ALWAYS happens, doesnt matter what the topics are being discussed. oh and i'm quite sure 1/2 of the community has tatoos and are Christians too. Take a poll if u want.

if people always agreed with every single thing in life, it would be very boring. debates are always fun to see who puts who down for their opinions and who is for it vs against it.

I find that the people I knew growing up did a whole lot of S**t during the week and every Sunday they were up in front of the entire church saying sorry I was wrong only to do the same crap Mon- Sat. less

No, if you're truly sorry for what u did and change your life around to not do it again, it's not a lie. work on your life and change what's not good in it to make your life better.

And I was very sheltered and never drank alchohol until the month before i turned 21, have had sex with ONE person in my life when i was almost 21- the man i am married to, have never done drugs. i have lots of friends who did the complete opposite. no they never went to church, it's just an example. less

But the question you fail to answer time and again is How can you pick and choose what to follow.. You are either a Christian all the way or not at all..No middle ground.

The ones I've been told that is still effective in this day and age are the ones that I know from front to back. quit asking me ?s to start and keep an arguement and ill quit answering them. i turned the alerts off for this post because i find it highly annoying. soo if anyone else asks ?s it likely won't be answered because I'm tired of wasting my time on this topic. i do enough of it at night sometimes on facebook debates

One good reason I do not want them in public school, but have no choice because private school is too pricey. I'm sure we could afford it but they'd be sheltered like I was. less

You can't teach sexual orientation..Your kids will love who they want to love in spite of their parental upbringing. You started the whole thing when you said what you said. We were just trying to clarify and you spouted untrue things. Your opinion is your opinion and our opinion is our opinion.

If you don't want anyone to question you, perhaps you should stay away from controversial subjects. Just saying...

I know that I don't live my life 100% the way that I should but I work on it and I don't try to force others to think the way that I do. I like to discuss things and that's what I was doing. If it is annoying you then just stay away from topics like this. less

I hope you're right, because if one of your kids is gay they won't be able to tell you and children who feel so alone and alienated in their family more likely to go the route that many other children have gone. And wouldn't you just be devastated if your closed-mindedness made your child feel they had no other choice? less
